Liverpool weren't even that good today. The defending for their first two goals have them the game on a facking plate.

I don’t even think Liverpool were that great, apart from Firminho 2nd goal we gave them the lot. First 10 mins we took the lead and looked very threatening. Then our two clowns linked up to assist firminho. We are our own wrong doing. Defensively we are terrible. It’s the same pattern with these clowns.

Will your owners give Emery the required funds?

The 50m budget they're used to having won't cut it surely.

How many times have we seen that first goal conceded before? It's practically every game the ball rebounds off our defenders and ends up going to the attackers

Both pens were legit, only thing he got wrong was not giving the Lacazette one too.

Liverpool were okay, but tbh hardly had to break sweat as we gifted them opportunity after opportunity - in fact they’ll probably be disappointed the margin wasn’t greater.

Emery DOES need to be given longer, but he royally facked up tonight starting Aubameyang instead of Laca.

Xhaka showed again why he can’t be trusted, yet he seems a permanent fixture. Can only hope he’s moved on next summer.

How can you not start Aubameyang tho, he would have been heckled for dropping our top scorer.

Not sure how you can line up with such a negative team, and still lose 5-1. At least with Wenger, it was simply because we played with no discipline. Somehow, Emery has made us worse defensively. I’ll give Emery this season, but I need to see some sort of progress by the end of next season.

You could do with someone more pragmatic that will stablise the defence. Mourinho is available.

We don't have £40m to waste paying him off when we fire him for finishing mid table.

Obviously starting Auba would’ve worked had we had the vision in midfield to hit them on the counter, but without that we needed someone who’d be more involved in the build up.

Laca is much better at that than Auba is.

Get CL football two years running, sack the summer before the final year of the contract. Job’s a goodun.

I think Sven Mislintat knows that we need a third player in the attacking third to link Lacazette and Auba. The idea we can leave £55m player on the bench with the quality of players we have is not on.

No way you’re going to leave your top scorer out tho. He would have got destroyed. So I understand why he went with Auba.

The point is we don't have players to link Auba and Laca. Liverpool play 3 strikers. But they are different and they link up superbly. Laca and Auba just don't. When Laca plays, who is a much better player outside the box, Auba is forced to play wide. Auba is a far better finisher than Laca but like Van Nistelrooy he doesn't add much to the game and needs a foil to play off.

If you think Emery is gonna do a Pep or a Klopp, you’re deluded.
————————
We are 6th and no Cups for at least two years. Then maybe top four if the financial model improves.

As predicted you have run out of petrol.

If you think Emery is gonna do a Pep or a Klopp, you’re deluded. Domestic cup tilt and top 4 is the best you can expect from him, he is decent enough to maintain the level set by Wenger but not good enough to push you beyond that. Not wumming, just an obvious truth in my eyes.

The 11 you put out today - Auba and maybe Ramsey aside, was utter garbage, mid table level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We'll see. Poch moved from Southampton and started to turn things around at Spurs and now Man Utd and Real Madrid are desperate for his signature. Emery has a good reputation. He wouldn't have got the PSG job otherwise. You can't judge a manager so quickly. He is not Pep. Pep is a spending manager. Klopp has slowly constructed Liverpool. He hasn't won a trophy in the meantime has he?

The shame of Man Utd - spending more than both City and Liverpool and being behind Arsenal.
