If you think Emery is gonna do a Pep or a Klopp, you’re deluded. Domestic cup tilt and top 4 is the best you can expect from him, he is decent enough to maintain the level set by Wenger but not good enough to push you beyond that. Not wumming, just an obvious truth in my eyes.
The 11 you put out today - Auba and maybe Ramsey aside, was utter garbage, mid table level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We'll see. Poch moved from Southampton and started to turn things around at Spurs and now Man Utd and Real Madrid are desperate for his signature. Emery has a good reputation. He wouldn't have got the PSG job otherwise. You can't judge a manager so quickly. He is not Pep. Pep is a spending manager. Klopp has slowly constructed Liverpool. He hasn't won a trophy in the meantime has he?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Klopp has spent a fortune building his team at Liverpool. Aided by getting silly money for Coutinho, sure, but a facking fortune nonetheless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And he also developed Coutinho! FSG don't invest anymore than Kroenke.
Still wrong, was £300m.
Sort of money Arsenal will need to spend under Emery if they want to compete at the top.

Another thing that worries me though is the frequency with which our players lose fifty fifty challenges, often times slipping or falling over. Opponents are able to put us under pressure without seeming to foul us, but we can't seem to get clean tackles in without committing fouls. This happens with regularity, even against so called lesser teams. It appears there's a deep seated coaching problem in Arsenal

That’s his entire time at the club not two seasons. Point still atands with regard to Emery. He’s a decent manager but it’ll take hundreds of millions to get the club competing because your squad is so far off the top sodes and he’s not the best at coaching defences.

When Wenger came in people said he wouldnt take us forward. He won us titles and was responsible for the move to the Emirates. He ultimately stayed past the point he could challenge as the game moved on quicker than he did, but his importance to the club should not be under estimated. He ultimately may have done better in his final years with the finances to back him up. The years paying for the new stadium and then the Kronke years put an end to his success, so I decided to change my name agan to reflect how I feel after the Liverpool game.

We were self sufficient and then we made the CL and then sold Coutinho.
200m extra right there without factoring the crazy TV revenue, record increases in revenue from other sources too.
Arsenal don't have a Coutinho to sell but they can (should) spend like Liverpool. One of the biggest clubs in the world and in the top 10 for revenue. Stop making excuses for your owner(IMO). They need to stump up the cash, Arsenal fans deserve it.

Both pens were legit, only thing he got wrong was not giving the Lacazette one too.
Liverpool were okay, but tbh hardly had to break sweat as we gifted them opportunity after opportunity - in fact they’ll probably be disappointed the margin wasn’t greater.
Emery DOES need to be given longer, but he royally facked up tonight starting Aubameyang instead of Laca.
Xhaka showed again why he can’t be trusted, yet he seems a permanent fixture. Can only hope he’s moved on next summer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Xhaka wasnt the reason we score a goal and lose control of the game within 3 min. Why do you single him out every time? He isnt our main problem.
Our main problem is our defense and that we havent got any width on both flanks.
Liverpool has proper replacements in all departments. Look at us . We needed Bellerin to have competition for so long now. We brought in Lichtsteiner. Only an example why we struggle. We really need to invest in some positions but we wont do it because of the Yankee.
Like or not but with the Yankee and not an owner who invest heavily we turning into a midtable team.
We should be happy that Chelsea isnt out of sight already because they struggle as well. Only that is the reason we compete about 4th place at the moment.

Absolute no doubt about Liverpool's win.
'Xhaka wasnt the reason we score a goal and lose control of the game within 3 min. Why do you single him out every time? He isnt our main problem.'
He wasn't the worst midfielder today - Torreira really stepped up to secure this season's Arsenal midfield @ Anfield crap-off - but his immobility is a major contributory factor is why we fail to control games now.
So yeah, not our 'main' problem, but a massive one still the same.

Disagree. We have Torreira for more mobility and Xhaka to play alongside. The problem isnt there mobility, it is there passing and not keeping the ball.
Gwendouzi thank god he wasnt starting today is far less mobile than Xhaka.
So you agree that Xhaka isn't mobile, and his ball retention and passing isn't great either.
I think we are basically agreeing about him then, Geets tbh.
I'd seriously like Emery to be brave and to start AMN in a central position against Fulham. We need more energy in front of that unbelievably shoddy backline of ours.
January cannot come quickly enough now. I just wish we had long enough to ship the whole sorry shower out the door.

Your optimism regarding the January TW suprise me. We are rumoured to Banega, 30 years old, slow and his passing range is back and sideway most of the time. Keep the faith, Lex.
