Did you really only win 3 Premier league titles?, seemed like a bigger rivalry than that, maybe the media portrayed you in a more favourable light than the one which was warranted

Liverpool finished 2nd when we won it in 2002

They went from an eleven point lead to fifth.
Crawling back up to second is irrelevant.

That Liverpool side had already lost a few games by then. Don't see that happening with this team.

They haven’t faced a parked bus for months.
They’re dodgy patch will come and City will pounce.

Think Liverpool will win it now, after City's bottlejob.

Nah City will still win it imo

Do you willfully talk nonsense or is it an accident?

For one thing, City have shown their vulnerability in being beaten 3 times in their last 4 games. Liverpool not been beaten yet.

City in an extra cup competition, and have on the face of it, more chance of progressing in the CL. Liverpool only have 3 competitions and face Bayern Munich who could knock them out to make it 2.

Always harder for PL winning teams to defend a title.

All that points towards Liverpool having a very good chance.

I fully expect Man City to put six past Southampton today and get back to business.

Arsenal, Newcastle, Wolves and Bournemouth all bent over.

I don't think the extra competition will bother City any, they will use their 2nd team vs Burton. City will have the advantage for only having to play Schalke while Pool play Bayern. By the time they reach the quarters their 2nd side would be capable of getting wins vs the bottom 14.

Every team that went through in that competition lost the game after, apart from ourselves. Think it may have some impact.

We were too good for them. They didn't need to bend over.

Stranglers, I can remember seeing us win more major trophies than arsenal have won in the whole of their existence.

So far from 'a lonely place to be' I am, as always, very happy to be supporting LFC. especially as we are currently so exciting to watch and far far superior to the likes of arsenal.

Liverpool will mount a serious challenge till the end. Klopp is building something great over there. Although he's lost both the finals, getting to Europa League and CL finals is pretty good. And this team looks better than the one that reached the CL final last season.

But City will come back. I'll be shocked if the gap between the two isn't 5 or less come end of Jan. It's always the second half of the season that tests the mental strength.

Yeah I know even we laughed that they were meant to be defenders

Liverpool finished 2nd in 2002. I don't think they were ever 11 points clear either. In the 2nd half of the season they were always in the top 3. Not sure where this talk of 5th has come from.
