I don't get why so many Spurs fans care. I MUCH prefer doing the business under the radar. And recent history suggests the players do too.
Well I think it’s disrespectful mate. We should at least be bloody mentioned mate considering we are just 2 points behind city.
Don - I don't think Spurs can win the title.
Also Don - The media don't think we can win the title, so disrespectful!
Probably because you’re spurs and you never win anything. Chelsea have recent history of league wins. If arsenal were couple behind city I expect we’d be dismissed in similar way because we’ve bottled most of our best chance of the league in last 10 years.
Anyway, spurs are always treated kindly in the media. So don’t get too wound up. It’s never mentioned that you’ve not won anything since a league cup almost 12 years ago!
Lucas Torreira. Gone flying over your head hasn’t it ? are you really that stupid
Don, I agree with you RE Spurs and our mentality. However, I can't blame pundits or "experts" taking us less seriously as the others. We have proven time and time again that we always fall short. You use Chelsea as a comparison, they have shown they can have what it takes. Pundits react to exactly what they know we will do and what we know we will do. If anything it shouldn't push us in but it doesn't.
What annoys me even more is, Chelsea for example could finish 6th one season then win the league the next. Our consistency is all well and good but what has it really given us. CL football is all well and good, but what about some actual success? This is one of our longest baron spells ever as a club and it coincides with us having one of the best teams we have ever had. That should tell us something.

Bake em, you know I agree with you on all of that, but to not mention us in the equation considering where we are at the moment ? Come on mate
If we don't think we can win the league, why would pundits think we can. Our club doesn't believe we can so why should others. We just don't have what it takes and everyone knows it. Our aim is top 4. That is it.

but your essentially 6-7 points back mate, easily the best of the rest but nothing more at the mo I'm afraid.
Prankster, if City are challengers then so are we mate.
Had we beaten Wolves I'm sure we'd be getting mentioned but 6 (7 with GD) is quite a big gap, especially considering how few points are being dropped.
48 points after 21 games is unreal from us. It's just annoying (again) that the Liverpool's points haul is ridiculous. Averaging nearly 2.6 points means they're pushing 100 points across a season should they keep it up.

This tbh. Ive never seen so many fans from one club on here that care so much about 'the media'.
Look at this beauty;
"Unfortunately the media, rival fans, pundits etc write us off every pre season, which creates a negative cloud around us, which rather importantly affects the way we are perceived in referees` sub conscious."
Wow.
It's mostly all shiiiiiiiiiiiit papers, talkshite and sky. Just buy a proper paper and stop taking in whack media like sky.
Because like most they probably don’t realistically expect Spurs to be pushing for the title.
Because you have a track record of fecking up at the point where you can put some serious pressure on, we don't.
Had you beat Wolves you would have probably been in the discussion.
I don't particularly care if the media chooses to ignore us in relation to the title outcome although I did chuckle when they put up the top three table before the game. You could feel the gritted teeth and annoyance that they couldn't find a way to not include us on the graphic.
We’re not taken seriously because of the wolves game it’s that simple.
Wether you are of the opinion that Spurs won’t be pushing the title or not, but to pretty much rule us out of any discussions when we are only 2 points off City is ridiculous.
Wolves game shouldn’t make a blind bit of difference. Liverpool lost the next game and we won ours, so effectively we have gone slightly closer.
But you are six points off the top, with a much worse gd, and that team have only dropped nine points all season.

Yes I get that. I just think if City should be considered challengers then so should we. United are still considered outside top 4 challengers. You are 6 points behind Chelsea with a worse goal difference. How is that any different ?

Couldn't be bothered to read it, just find it weird that people are bothered about the media not liking/rating their team. Maybe when Spurs show they can stay on top for more than 20 minutes they might get rated a bit more highly.
I don't see how you can want them to say we're going to challenge when you don't think we're going to challenge, do you not want them to make points that you would describe as 'correct'?
