to the guy saying lukaku is chit,
it is a squad game and OGS needs to keep every member of that squad in a position where they can come in and do their best when required - even if we think that best is chit.

We really are embarrassing at times. Very reactive, fickle bunch.

We played 4 academy players today, won our fifth game on the bounce and gave minutes to players who are returning to the team or haven't played much. The back 5 was an absolute bunch of misfits with a young prospect at rb, a full back at cb, Jones and a converted winger at rb along with our backup keeper.

Can see this 'Mourinho performance' phrase getting thrown about every time we down trounce someone and its tiresome.

2 nil, through to the next round in the cup plus all the above makes for a productive day today. I'm happy to be honest.

To the detriment of the rest of the side when they have nobody to play the ball into or hold the ball up? Think my little lad has a better touch.

Couldn’t believe how awful he was today

It's a positive that Lukaku is scoring, because we'll need his goals this season if we have any hope of getting back in the top four and, or, winning a trophy.

But we'll likely see less dynamic, or impressive, performances with him - and Sanchez - in the team due to their flaws.

I don't think either have much of a future if we want to see more of the football we've been playing without them in the team.

He could score a goal à game and you still wouldn't like him. We all know he's not RVN or RVP but his job is to score, if he does that often enough we would be daft to ship him out

2 days to prepare for this game with a haphazard line up (Needed to rest players after festive period).

I agree but because top end of championship is decent level now.

I remember similar level of teams under SAF struggling against weak teams in cup competitions in recent years (Crawley, Leeds, Derby, Palace, Exeter, Coventry, Southend).

If you're expecting swashbuckling winning football, lots of goals in every match we have regardless of lineup or circumstance this sport probably isn't for you.

I never said it is mate, they are professional athletes with the worlds best medical team, he didn’t need to put together a disjointed side.

Lukaku irates the life out of me because he is so lazy and just does not resemble any sort of pressing or positive link up play. We look so much better without him in the side
