My take on today`s game.

Yeah because that’s how football works isn’t it. Would you have had all them chances in the 2nd half if you had equalised?
It would have been a completely different game. We sat back to protect our lead which if I’m honest annoyed me a little because when we did go forward we cut you open with ease. You played against our weakest cb partnership in yrs and couldn’t score one goal so don’t give me that nonsense you should have won by 6 or 7.
The game should have ended a draw but didn’t. We take the 3 points and dump you well and truly out the title race. Kane looks like he could be out for a while, son gone for a month. Bad times for spurs it seems

First half was pretty even to be fair. You have to acknowledge that?

‘’But for some poor finishing, the United Goalie having his best game of the season, Spurs would have been celebrating a 6 or 7-1 win. Somehow United have absolutely stolen a victory today.’’

Followed by....

‘’but for the hapless Trippier (does he really earn/steal a living as a footballer?) gifting the ball away yet again, surely Spurs would have taken at the very minimum a point’’

Well done on the contradiction Sandy. What stopped us winning, poor finishing or Trippier?

United hardly had a shot until they scored, and that came from a Spurs mistake, second half was ridiculously one sided. United cannot have that much luck again.

Both, Trippier was shocking, he gifted United their goal, made countless other mistakes in the first half, and although Spurs completely dominated it was like they were playing with 10 men

Serious question - of those saves that de Gea made, how many of them were 'worldies'?

To me, it seemed like your shots were straight at him or they were at a comfortable enough height for him to deal with.

Let's not forget that United had some good chances, some of which were better quality than yours, to add to their advantage.

To be fair, if we're basing it purely on the balance of play, you were probably unlucky to be on the losing side. However, if you waste the chances you have, that's no-one's fault but your own.

So for that reason alone, you deservedly lost because your finishing wasn't good enough. To say you 'should have' won by x amount is neither here nor there.

Trippier has been absolutely shocking this season. The World Cup gone straight to his head it seems. Even a half fit Aurier would be better, or KWP. And as for Davies, he’s just so ordinary against the decent sides. If Kane is out for a month then it could be season over

If Spurs had had their shooting boots on they would have won but they were quite poor infront of goal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeh agreed some of the finishing was poor, but the goalie still made three or four great saves. Another day, Spurs would have had half a dozen.

I don`t remember many United chances other than the goal they scored.

Trippier is very limited, but he’s not really the reason we lost. We had enough chances in the second half to win by 2 or 3 goals. Ridiculous to blame Trippier.

Trippier is pants, Palmers, surely you must see that. And he is the reason Spurs lost, he gifted United their goal.

I have to say United were just about the worse side I have seen at Wembley this season. I was not impressed at all, sometimes you get fluke results like today, where one team batters another, and then one chance and they steal the game, as United did today. Very poor side.

Yeah I don’t rate him other than his crossing ability. I don’t rate Aurier either though who is as much of a liability.

Maybe give KWP a run in the side.

Trippiers error was not good but there was still alot that had to happen before the ball ended up in the net. Our finishing was the major issue, why oh why couldn't they lift the ball over De Geas legs? Although he's being portrayed as a hero there wasn't a save there that I wouldnt of expected him to make, Hugo actually made the best save of the match from the deflected shot in the 2nd half.

What is the point in getting 5 against Bournemouth, 6 against Everton and 7 against Tranmere if you can't finish when it really matters.

Aurier scored two goals in his last game, and is 100 per cent better than Trippier will ever be. Something not right with Poch keep picking Trippier.

Trippiers error for the goal was only one of several errors he made first half. I really cannot see how supporters can keep defending the indefensible. He is a total liability, and a serious weak link if Spurs are to progress.
