My point is, it’s hard to complain about why Bbc don’t show ganes(they used to), when you all pay sky loads to watch footy. By doing so you’ve contributed to the reason!
I’m not saying don’t pay sky, if they offer what you want, then go for it. But they’ve effectively sewn up sports coverage in the uk, through massive investment and priced out everyone else. The rise of the English pl and sky are entwined.

It’s more to do with the bbc not having much money to spend on footy. You can happily blame sky for this, and you’d be right. They can afford to cover Cup ganes, but stretching a little more thin to put on an outside broadcast for Scottish cup ganes too, so they have to choose higher viewing figures. If they don’t show the English ganes then they need to fill the hole in the schedule in Scotland wakes and ni. Original programs cost money to make.
I think if you looked back pre sky changing the landscape, then they probably showed quite a lot of footy....
Comes down to money.

sky is not the problem when it comes to the lack of games on bbc scotland now
bbc scotland used to share the scottish cup with sky and had the pick of the league cup aswell
it also used to show plenty of european qualifiers and uefa cup games all of which are now on bt or premier sports
bt and premier sports have taken the stuff sky used to leave for the bbc

The viewing figures must show some people watch it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And? Would they not watch it if it was on BBC2 Scotland??
FFS. Surely, we must be the ONLY FECKIN country in the entire world that shows ANOTHER country's football before out own? Unless there even more lickspittle countries out there of course...

It's not another country though is it? It's the UK, which is a {country} that you live in. The best standard of football in the UK is English which is why it's first choice for all constituent {countries} of the UK.

Perhaps instead of beating around the bush you can come out and say what it is you think you're smug about and then I can rip it to shreds?
Let's see it. This should be good.
less than half of the fee money collected in scotland is spent on bbc scotland programing just now but a new bbc scotland channel is just about to come on air meaning about 90 per cent raised here will be spent here
most people in scotland don't watch bbc scotland for scottish programmes ovcourse they want to see eastenders or luther etc
Just don't pay the licence fee and watch it all online instead.
Am I fook paying to watch the pash that's on the BBC

Well he is a tim..........
Interesting debate which I confess I've followed from first to last.
I don't watch FA cup games because in my view the EPL TV deal has completely changed the landscape of the competition and devalued it by EPL teams putting out weakened sides.
A separate issue arose during last night's Millwall/Everton game. One of Millwall's goals was a blatant handball apparently but no VAR because game was played at their ground. If the game had been played in Liverpool VAR would have been used and goal disallowed.
Silva said what anybody else would have said in the circumstances.......either have VAR at every FA cup game or don't have it at all.

That argument makes no sense whatsoever to me.
Have VAR wherever you can.
The idea that it's somehow unfair to be able to correct mistakes in some grounds but not in others is just daft.
Use it wherever possible. Cut out as many mistakes as possible. That's for the good of the game.

The people running our game don't help. No way we should have accepted sky tv deal. Their coverage is garbage.
