I know both had a good game last night (Lustig and Brown) but we were playing a St Johnstone side who were happy to sit in their 18 yard box for most of the game, so it was easy for both players to get on the ball and up the pitch.
Still unconvinced by both for games where teams will either have the ball, or at least pose a threat to us.
St Johnstone had one shot last night, off target 😂
Bain should've brought a book with him to read.
That said, second half we played some lovely stuff. The movement off the ball, creating angles, the slick passing and interplay.. All fantastic. Plenty of options up top too, but I still fear for us in Europe. Domestically we look like we're going to go on a good run now.. but this weekend will be tougher with St Johnstone on their home patch, and our away form this season.
Did we not play St Johnstone three or four times in a row a couple of seasons back? I'm sure it was them, or possibly Motherwell..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We played Dundee Utd 4 times on the trot, in 2015, I think. Scottish Cup tie, League Cup Final, Scottish Cup replay then a league game.
We completely knocked the stuffing out of Dundee Utd that season.

killie after valencia is the sore one.
If we win our next 2 league games and aberdeen take something from rangers on Wednesday then that should be that.
i think that will matter for little if our away form overall doesnt improve mate.
we have perth, rugby park, and tynecastle coming up.
based on this season, i would suggest that tynecastle and rugby park combined could be no more than 2-3 points over both games.
Another rumour is the RB might not be the german and could be this guy.

Rodgers is on Talksport this morning.
February is the biggie for us for sure, alot of tough games but as has been said, we now have an abundance of attacking options. Edouard will play better I think with the pressure there and plenty of back up. Rogic back in too. KT is the main one we need to get fit.
Frustrating first half last night but stepped it right up 2nd half and were excellent. Christie outstanding again as was Ajer(why didn't he shoot in first half) Forrest has gone off the boil a wee bit. Can see Burke maybe being moved out right to give him a rest as Edouard will be taking that spot up top.
Win our next 2 league games and we're in great shape. I think there's a good chance rangers will drop at Pittodrie next weds so a win on Sunday puts huge pressure on them for that. I know we play Hibs but I'd fancy us at home against anyone

Forrest is the victim of his own success
as usual when you play for Celtic and play well you automatically have 2/3 men on him
I actually thought he was good last night Forrest a lot better than he was on Saturday
Comfortable win. We only got out of second gear for 5 minutes where we got two cracking goals
Comfortable all over the park. St Johnstone started with a 4411 and by the time the second half started didn't even bother trying to attack
Great goals and a great performance from McGregor
Brown hitting the 40 yard pin point passes as well last night through the channels.
Only negative last night was Christie's ridiculous dive. We had chances to shoot before it then he did but ridiculously decided to throw himself to the floor.
Second half near the end was as clear a hand ball as you can get without giving a penalty
If we can match rangers results until the next old firm game a win in that and the league would be over. our two games after that and before split are St Mirren Away and Livi at home.
St J, Killie and Hearts away in Feb though is gonna be tough with the Valencia games, cup game and 2 home games against Hibs and Motherwell. 1 game at a time and all that. If we win our next 2 though we're in a great position!
Only negative last night was Christie's ridiculous dive
Awful, embarrassing. Hope Rodgers comes down hard on that
we're looking better which is good but again we go into the summer in a schitey position, the loans go back and we lose boyata and benkovic with nobody in and settled for the qualifiers.
its not good enough, its gambling qualification.
