Shouldn’t The Spursy Tag now be Binned?
Bit premature.
Not until we get into our new Stadium.
That is the ultimate Spursy situation.
Spurs are definitely not Spursy in the Prem, but in the cups that is more down to poor team selection than anything Spursy. Last seasons semi-final with United was down to the manager leaving out his best goalie, Lloris and Toby out of the starting XI. If you are going to leave your supposedly best players out, then than is nothing to do with being Spursy, that is just damn careless management.
I think some of the opposition fans should take a look at their own teams before calling Spurs bottlers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is down to the building contractors, and nothing to do with being Spursy.
The whole bottle thing has become a bad joke. Time was when bottling it was snatching defeat from the jaws of victory whereas now you just have to lose a match.
Whether we like it or not the stadium debacle has been very Spursy.
If you'd had won your semi final vs Chelsea, it might have been.
why? you have done anything to unbottle the tag.
You will bottle it against Dortmund as well.
We can’t shake off the tag yet.
Let’s face it if we get within 2 or 3 points of top spot we will most likely falter. Until we don’t the Spursy tag will remain
You have the tag because every time a trophy seems to be in sight you end up getting beat.
Your squad are actually in the opposite to ours mentality wise, ours can't seem to get up for the routine league games whereas yours thrive on building some momentum that way but we always show up when a trophy is within touching distance (2017 final aside) whereas you do the opposite.

If we falter it's because we don't have the squad strength to make changes, not because we're bottlers.
All this Spursy talk by our own fans just gives opposition fans more opportunities to ridicule us.

So we're ridiculed for constantly putting ourselves in the mix, but not winning? So if we were nowhere near top 4 each season or not getting to semi finals or finals, we'd command more respect?
Not sure that writing this after wins Vs Newcastle, Watford & Leicester is the best timing.... They were games we should have won. Injuries are just an excuse. If our Squad is not deep enough then Levy & poch deserve stick but every team has bad luck.... ours is self made.
If we get thumped by 4 or 5 away at City & Liverpool and fail to beat Chelsea & Arsenal then nothing will have really changed.
We are going well in whats been a tough season but we gotta stop making excuses otherwise we'll never progress.
Rival fans can say what they want... who gives a fack. The only thing that will shut them up is winning something

Sorry gonna have to disagree. Even with fully fit team we do tend to bottle the opportunities. Semi finals. Chances to go top of which we’ve had 2 or 3 last few seasons. You know it’s true, until we actually take an opportunity when pressure is on then unfortunately we will get hammered for being bottlers
Spurs should be commended, not mocked. I mean they are doing really well for the size of club that they are. They are never going to win as many trophies as the likes of Birmingham, Wigan, Swansea, Leicester etc. have in the past decade. They are doing really, really well all things considered so leave them alone as you’re being nasty.

Spurs are 20/1 for the title, so nobody fancies Spurs, so there is nothing to bottle. If they have got within 2 or 3 points of the top spot, it is because they have showed super bottle.

As for the timing of my article, it really has nothing to do with the last 4 results. We have been in the PL top 3 for the last 3 seasons and I think the club deserves some respect for that. At the very least from its own fans

Nonsense, I am pretty sure if Spurs had taken on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with Kane, Dele and Son in the line up, Chelsea would not be going to the final.

Spurs are doing very well despite being the 5th biggest club in London (after Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Charlton)
How can you unbottle it if you haven't won anything.
We are above you and we are called bottlers as well for not winning the 2 European finals we have been in recently
