no i wouldnt. Both lack match sharpness and ability to keep the ball.
As much as I like Big Vic he appears to have gone down the route of Wilson Palacios.
Sprus definitely need one of the two playing in every game, definitely preferable to having to put in players like Skipp to make up the XI.
Have to agree with Sandy, playing Skipp was a disaster against Leicester. He’s clearly need ready at the moment so we need to stop being sentimental in hoping we are unearthing the next spurs youth star all the time. Time to get the experience back in there. Dier should be starting.

cant play a midfield of Sissoko, Winks and Dier. All for the 3 of them playing as long as Dier was slotting in at RCB instead of DM
Anyone think Amos would be playing right now instead of Skipp if it wasn't for his injury?

Of course he was a head in the pecking order although he won’t be a patch on what Skipp will be when he hit the age Amos is now
For sure we need a top defensive midfielder this summer. A dembele replacement is a must.
Winks though has really stepped up this season, especially the last few months. He’s just so tenacious and brilliant with the ball.
we need a box to box allround midfielder, Don.

Wilson
Dont really see the point in Amos staying at the club. He's 22 soon, and wont make much more of a development like Skipp will. He hasnt looked like he offered much when ive seen him play too.

needs a loan. get some senior football in. nowhere near ready for spurs first team. however, we don't use the loan system properly, which is very disappointing and a good opportunity missed.

Agree Don, I know Skipp is only 18, but I see absolutely nothing to suggest he is going to make it. I can usually spot talent at an early age. Best, Greaves, Pele at that age you could see they would be star quality. Skipp looks like your typical championship player by the time he reaches 25. Another Onomah, simply not good enough. He may prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

He wasn’t a disaster against Lesta
Lesta has 1 chance all game that came down the left side that he and rose were on.
They had 7 chances that came down the other flank that had trippier & Sissoko.
Positionally he was great, blocking of spaces and making interceptions.
He just didn’t look comfortable on the ball yet but at this age Winks wasn’t that great in the youth team let alone playing first team football.

I never actually said “ Skipps was a disaster “, what I said was playing him was a disaster. Our midfield was totally exposed and his inexperience meant Leicester walked all over us throughout the game. It was the wrong decision by Poch mate and Skipps is not ready to be starting in such an important position in the premier league mate. Against a better side, we would if got taken to the cleaners Sunday.
I just don’t personally think Skipps is ready yet to be starting games for us. Next year maybe will be his breakthrough year who knows.

Yet the part midfield that got exposed was the other side. That had nothing to do with starting Skipp though
Also you can’t say it was the wrong decision as we won 3-1 with Skipp actively contributing to the second goal.
He’s been fine in all the games he’s played and we’ve won everyone of them.
