Agree with last two sentences of yours Will; but no manager should defend cheating.
I'd prefer the Wenger Way: "I didn't see the incident; I've not seen the replay yet". Still not being honest but he doesn't defend cheating. All teams cheat - the authorities need to clamp down on it but don't have the bottle. I suppose the genie's out of the bottle anyway and there is no way of getting it back in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In fairness, if he hadn’t watched it back you couldn’t call it as a dive live. Gayle made the list of the situation and it looked fairly convincing on first viewing. It’s not until you see it slowed down that it was clearly an excellently executed swan dive!

Grabban was very fortunate to get a penalty against Brentford too IMO so we shouldn’t get too high and mighty.
I agree Grabban was a bit lucky.
But refs are at fault. The ref was in a good position to see the Gayle incident. He couldn't have seen contact so he shouldn't have given it. In the Grabban incident the ref should have had help from his lino. In both cases it was just a guess.
In both cases VAR might have resulted in the correct decision without taking anything away from the flow of game.
If Cash is still injured Carvalho should start. Lolley wide right.
Pantilimon
Darikwa, Milosevic, Benalouane, Robinson
Lolley, Yates, Colback, Osborn
Grabban, Murphy
Subs: Steele, Carvalho, Wague, Goncalves, Yacob, Pele, Bonatini
Would VAR have awarde us a penalty for the shirt pull on Lolley ? Tbh I doubt it purely because Lolley was ‘too honest’ and didn’t dive too the ground.

Interesting. Looks ok on paper, but two up front didn't work last time.
Let's see.
We are in massive trouble, anyone who considers Darikwa to be a footballer shouldn’t be in management, he is a complete liability. I also get the impression MON doesn’t rate Carvalho.
Looks like route one approach then.
Grabban & Murphy haven't looked as if they can play together so far.

To be fair, Janko has looked very shakey the last couple of games.
Janko could be injured if he is not on the bench.
Not going to judge MON's team selection. I've learnt my lesson.

A.K played them together once.
The good thing is the back line looks very solid whether it's Janko or Darikwa.
Not slating MON at all just do not rate Darikwa, shame he only got a 3 game ban.
Would like to see Carvalho given a chance though.

No bloody commentary yet, I wonder if they realise that they're talking to them selves atm?
Notts are playing the stags at home in an early KO. The match is live on RN
I think both Janko and Darikwa are inconsistent. We've done OK without Carvalho these last few weeks so I am not in such a hurry to see him return as I was initially.
MON is still assessing his squad and is yet to find his best formation and starting eleven. We need to cut him some slack and be patient. That includes the owner.

Unfortunately I can't pick up R.N on F.M just about 6 miles from the Bath/N.E Somerset border!
IFollow leaves a lot to be desired.
