He does try the trick of calling his players out for poor performances, it has worked for other managers down the years. I have also seen it back fire and players downing tools as they disagree.
In what was a poor day on the pitch didn't one player get all pashed aff he never got a game and storm off when he wasn't 3rd sub?

The problem SG has is the goals and even assists seem to all pretty much involve Morelos, and he needs him to keep the heid and keep fit.

The bigger picture is worse and something Celtic has had to deal with for seasons, if your best players keep performing they get sold and rightly so, but its a total nightmare to replace them.

If Morelos was sold and not here next season its going to be hard to replace those goals and assists, you would use the money from his sale to fund a striker but like us then its a gamble.

this we need to either have a striker that plays in target man similar to Morelos or figure out how to accomdate the rest of the team for a more poacher type like Defoe.

So far Davis looks finished at the weekend it looked like he was playing with concrete in his boots and badly tried to play passes that were just not on. Defoe still has something to offer IMO provided we can figure out how create chances with him as the lone striker.

such as life in football unless your one of the very biggest clubs this is the life for every club including Celtic, if the players play well they will be off to those richer and willing to pay more wages

At his peak he had tremendous work rate and was tidy with the ball very rarely giving it away he now doesnt have the legs he once did and he is badly trying to overplay to compensate.

Defoe is a poacher plain and simple, i think having Arfield out also exposed Defoe cos he naturally has that want to get beyond or support the forward.

From what i saw at the weekend tho Kamara takes Coulibaly's spot also.

Strongest mid would be Jack, Kamara and Arfield IMO
