The spam filter objects to Whiteman.
It is hard enough to break down a ten man defence made up of L1 players so it was always going to be harder to do against a PL team with their better quality players.
Palace fans on the vsc had already told us that they like to play that way when they are away from home and hit teams on the break and that is how it panned out.
To be fair, in the second half we did begin to shoot from distance, I can remember five or six shots from outside the box that were either saved by the keeper or deflected wide by defenders.
From the Left Coast all I can say is "Why do we not get any highlights except the two goals on iFollow?" On earlier rounds we got more, but lower quality than normal - such as the 7-0 win.
