Re the Spurs pen yesterday:
FA rules state that if "a player in an offside position is moving towards the ball with the intention of playing the ball and is fouled before playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the foul is penalised as it has occurred before the offside offence."
As a result, Mustafi's foul on Kane took place before he was deemed to have committed an offence by being in an offside position, therefore the penalty was the right call.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The penalty was not the right call at all. The rules also state:
"a player moving from, or standing in, an offside position is in the way of an opponent and interferes with the movement of the opponent towards the ball this is an offside offence if it impacts on the ability of the opponent to play or challenge for the ball; if the player moves into the way of an opponent and impedes the opponent's progress (e.g blocks the opponent) the offence should be penalised under Law 12"
Kane clearly impacted two Arsenal players by his position.
Also:
"an offence is committed against a player in an offside position who is already playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the offside offence is penalised as it has occurred before the foul challenge"
Kane is challenging for the ball before he is fouled. He is challenging Koscielny.
Can't believe how many people are trying to claim Kane was just minding his own business in the box
From the replays I saw I thought it was a pretty nailed on penalty, even with VAR they would still give a penalty.
Is Kane challenging Kos though (don’t you mean Mustafi?)
I don’t think just by being there Kane necessarily impedes Mustafi, was just a daft foul from him
Depends how you interpret the rule I guess.

No, Kos was the one in front.
Mustafi is unable to get the ball because of Kanes position - ""a player moving from, or standing in, an offside position is in the way of an opponent and interferes with the movement of the opponent towards the ball this is an offside offence if it impacts on the ability of the opponent to play or challenge for the ball"
Refs have been cheating against us and for spurs for at least 7 years. It was only hidden because any loss was getting blamed on Wenger and therefore masking the problem. I've been banging on about it the whole time
Its all one of the same. Media refs and fans all buy into.l the same realities and that translates to the bias we see.

Re: the pens v us.
The Salah one was a pen all day and recall no complaints from Arsenal fans at the time. The Lovren one I said at the time was soft. But you’d been well beaten at that point and it made no difference to the result.’

Yeah Billy does go on about Pool living refs which is a bit embarrassing but this bloke above has basically blamed Arsenal’s issues in the last few years on pro Spurs refs

Cheating is a strong word, but a couple of ex-refs have said they allowed 'bullying' (I take that as over-aggresive and beyond the laws of the game) of Arsenal.
There has long been an acceptance that you can get away with a lot more against Arsenal, and it shows.

I can't believe there is anyone above 10-years-old that actually thinks like this and believes BS like this.
And yes, the ref did screw us over yesterday, and Spurs have got dodgy decisions in recent matches. But I do remember when we beat them 2-0 last (and we were the better team and deserving winners), there was a key decision or 2 in our favour.

Whilst I agree that Spurs penalty was a wrong decision, we were awarded a crucial penalty at the death but made a complete dog's dinner of it, so we can't complain. We should have won the match yesterday but we messed up on our own. We don't have a regular, reliable penalty taker since Giroud and that was the difference yesterday.
Was Giroud even a regular penalty taker for you?
The last I can remember was Cazorla

Because if referees and media can be biased in this very obvious example then it opens up a whole variety of other biases. Spurs are full of England internationals. Spurs are also loved because they are perennial under achievers and we love an underdog in this country. We were hated as soon as we won and then stopped winning. The hate and the idea that our players were soft seeped into the officiating. Refs and media started to turn on Wenger too. We saw this also with Jose too. We love to tear someone down from the top. All of this stuff gets mirrored by gullible fans.
All very common societal psychology, unique to England
