Renegotiating NAFTA and cancel TTIP, getting NATO members to pay more, will soon have a new deal with China as a result of tariff's, tax cuts, appointing conservative judges, parts of the wall already being built, creating record numbers of jobs, companies investing more in the US, thriving economy when experts said he would crash it. Just because you don't agree with what he's doing doesn't mean he hasn't done anything.

SCOTUS judges are supposed to be impartial though 8bit, regardless of which way they learn politically.
Kavanaugh especially, is clearly not impartial and that should be a major worry moving forward.
None of the judges are really impartial though Xavi, If democrats won they'd appoint left wing judges who will be progressive and vote the way they want and see things. I'm not even conservative or agree with all the things he does but he's trying to do all the things he campaigned on which is something to admire about him and rare for a leader or politicians in general.

Sure, why not limit the next 50 years of American jurisprudence to a cabal of appointees who studied at a handful of Law Schools. Appointees who's only merit is their skill at finessing their way through college fraternities. Appointees annointed at behind-the-scenes galas far from the prying eyes of the press. I agree it's a dumb system but that's not Trump's fault. Did you expect him to appoint liberal judges? You're annoyed because they're conservative but if the Democrats won and the next 50 years was ruled by progressive judges you'd be fine with that Democrats only have themselves to blame for losing the election, it could have been them appointing 2 supreme court judges. I actually think the majority of Americans like us are socially liberal and tolerant but the left wing parties have gone a bit insane on that front and also too politically correct and it puts people off.

That is true however most good judges make the most effort to keep their personal views out of their judgements which can be appealed in most countries that practice an independent judiciary. There isn't the usual hullabaloo and senators support most nominations. The problem in America has started with McConnell and Obama's last appointment. I suspect Mitch is compromised. If you think the Trump election was a mixture luck and and some TV charisma you'd be wrong with all thats already been exposed. In my view Trump's presidency has been in the making for a long time. So nothing is normal at present in America. Or in the UK for that matter with brexit.
