You know when the entire philosophy of Sarriball depends on this furrrker that your system is furrrked!

Given he played a more advanced role for the most part of his career and has about a decades worth of playing time on him currently, it would have been pretty brutal on Gerrard's part if that wasn't true.

I think this is why Jorginho gets so much critiscm. I go most weeks to games and I dont see what people who defend him constantly see. It's just baffling

And how is that Chelsea hating United fan not banned from our boards yet?

Strange comparison between Gerrard and Jorginho.

I'm giving Jorginho another season to adapt/adjust and whatever else he needs to do.

He started off well but since the man marking and pressing stuff his influence on the games has started to diminish just like our league form.

Can you answer this Ronny, if he's so bad then why do numerous managers change their entire formation just to counteract his influence?

Let me guess, your wi-fi's gone down?

What an odd article.

Jorgino has been 5/10 this season. Not great. Not bad.
Still adapting. Our lack of runners and slower players on the ball are killing him a bit too. Luiz and alonso in particular hold the ball for way too many touches. By the time it gets to jorgino he’s already marked.

Most transparent WUM attempt I've ever seen.

Speaking on behalf of the 'Jorginho fan girl and boy' club, you're gunna have to try MUCH harder than that

Think it's more the case teams just sticking a player on Jorginho instead of changing their entire formation.

To be fair to him, he doesn't get much support, a lot of our team is static so most of the time there are hardly any options.

All of the top 6 bar Liverpool have changed their entire formation to the diamond for games against us.

I assume, given the Liverpool Legends match against AC Milan was think weekend, the OP means Gerrard got more assists in that game than Jorginho has this season?

But given it's not a competitive match it seems a bit of a forced point to make!

City didn't.

It's not just the top 6 we've struggled against, Wolves, Everton, Bournemouth, Southampton. These teams didn't change their entire formation.

That's ironic considering you are peddling the biggest media narrative out there right now

Like i said, if he was as crap as the media have fooled you into believing, managers wouldn't make special plans for him.

The managers discussion goes like this, Herrera I want you to sit on Jorginho and the whole team will be stuck.

If you think that is what makes him so special and makes managers so clever and intuitive that they are preparing for us by looking at just him then you're incredibly naive.

The guys average at best and in 10 years we'll look back and go "who was that midfielder we signed that was the Stewart downing of playmakers?"

I hope this is a transition season for him - he will realise in this league you have to man up and probably beef up too. However apart from that I am often irritated that his passing is erratic - unambitious, far too often under-hit, and generally not penetrative enough. Is that the fault of his colleagues? Can Sarri improve the situation? Who knows?

That's interesting, have you got that from a source or first hand from Solskjear himself?

What amazes me is that next Pirlo Jorginho is so easily shut down by average players... makes you wonder why managers never tried this trick with other midfield playmakers like Xavi, Inesta or Pirlo himself. I mean if it's so simple to counter them why is poor Jorginho the only one targeted. It couldn't be that he's a poor player which is why he's so easily shut down by average teams like Everton and Wolves... It must be just that managers unfairly only target Jorginho and never think to do the same to other great midfielders in other teams.

Speaking of Wolves, didn't you predict them to finish bottom?

Another Erik classic

I'm struggling though because I've been told Saint Hazard singlehandedly pulls Chelsea through games but I'm also being told that Andrea Jorginho is an amazing player... how can this add up? Surely if Andrea Jorginho is such an amazing player then Saint Hazard isn't winning games singlehandedly??? But then... Andrea Jorginho must be a shiiit player??? It doesn't add up!
