And this isn't a European debate. It is the biggest clubs in the World. Which laughably ignores a lot of massive South American clubs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who are forced to sell their best players to Europe on a regular basis!
Why is Chelsea's inclusion laughable? That's your opinion fair enough but outside of England Arsenal have done nish.
I do agree with you in regard to the South American Club's though.

Chelsea have been keeping the British coefficient for europe high for almost two decades now as have utd and Liverpool on and off. Arsenal have done naff all and still done 10 times as much as Spurs, City have done nothing special as yet but who knows it could be their season...no wait thats pools catchphrase.
Yeah I struggle to see the laughable inclusion of Chelsea. If you don’t agree fair enough but certainly not laugh worthy. I hate a lot of this social media age but by most measures we score within the top 5/10 clubs in the world in terms of following, shirt sales etc. I think due to drogba and co we are one of the most followed clubs in the whole of Africa etc etc blah blah blah.
Certainly not a laughable inclusion. Also the most successful club in England the last 10 years and Us and Utd are over the last 20

Fair enough Weare, you've made the argument that Arsenal MUST be on the list, so I've fixed it for you. Unfortunately you'll now have to be removed, just like in the days of Henry Norris because Chelsea have achieved more in Europe than Arsenal and Spurs put together.
1. Real Madrid
2. Manchester United
3. Barcelona
4. Bayern Munich
5. Juventus
6. Manchester City
7. PSG
8. Chelsea
9. Liverpool
10. Arsenal

Hahahahaha. Arsenal are the second highest English side in 10th. Chelsea are 4th highest in 17th, just ahead of Spurs.

-----------------------------------------------------------
I mentioned that earlier, so many people use two factors when determining what constitutes big club - history and fanbase - and none of these same people mention Santos FC, which by that single minded criteria is a crime.
If Ajax is good enough to make someone's top 10 based on legacy and heritage, Santos should be on it arguably above them. Absolute monster of a club in that regard.
Frankly on history alone I dunno how anyone can overlook Notts County. The first club to write any history in professional football, how on earth do they not make top 10 if that's the gauge?

I'm genuinely curious as to why people are only talking about history and are considering no other factors at all.
--------------------------------------------------------
True, and it's why I never get involved in these 'biggest clubs' article.
Thing is people who demand the inclusion of teams like Ajax or Celtic in these lists always forgot Santos. Most historically recognized club in the most passionate football country in the world which produced the most recognized player in history. In terms of history, tradition and heritage Santos is a monster
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah was gonna say no River Plates, Boca Juniors etc. Seems like everyone forgets the South American continent in these debates.

prob because their leagues are gash and no one in the west watches them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet they probably get watched more in the USA than any league here tbh, it would be between that and La Liga for sure in terms of viewing figures in that continent.
yet people are putting Ajax on the list of top 10 clubs over the likes of these. They maybe don't get in over the likes of Juve for example but certainly they should be in contention against the likes of Spurs, Ajax, etc.
It depends how you define big club. I’m sure any player at those clubs would jump at the chance to join Tottenham for one though.
