Have the upgrades at Northumberland Park finished yet ?
I used to be a regular in the 60's - 70's and we regularly had 65,000 in, bearing in mind that few people had cars back then most people used public transport .....and it was OK.
Progress eh ?
Edbo, What was you saying when arguing ? very irritating when some boring git ruins the atmosphere.
Oh and f** public transport, I only ever drive to the football
I am in the Paxton, as all the south stand tickets had gone when I got the ticket. I was very pleased everyone was standing throughout the game. Hopefully that continues but I doubt it.
There was a middle aged woman in front of me who was sulking and sat down in protest for 5 mins towards the end of the first half She then managed to convince her husband to leave as soon as the second went in
I use Northumberland park. I had a beer after in the ground to let the queues die down. Was only a 5 minute queue for the train by the time I got out.
The trains from Seven Sisters were terrible too.
I assume it was bad on Satuday due to Northumberland park being closed, but no... It's simply because the station can't cope.
I remember queueing for half hour after WHL and that was leaving 5 minutes early to beat the crowd. We waited 45mins at Seven Sisters... The queues were huge. The trains were infrequent and the staff kept letting people on the platform so when someone squeazed on the train, ALL THE DOORS opened allowing more people to squeeze on, which caused the doors to open again - rinse and repeat for 15 minutes.
It was ridiculous.
"Getting home was a bit of a nightmare for me"
Getting home from Spurs to Surrey with 36k was bad enough, can't imagine what it will be like with 60k, 8pm kick offs mid week are a no chancer
I was thinking last night Trippier was having a good game then a minute later he gets brushed aside by Zaha and we nearly concede.
He is not good enough to play for Spurs.

Thuddy my son, you live in same neck of woods as me in Surrey. Balls to the trains, drive mate if you can. I never get public transport. Park slightly away from the ground to beat the traffic. Nice little stroll to car, in my own comfort and warmth - bobs your uncle, Fan*** your Aunt

Why do you have to be pi^** to enjoy the football ? I never drink at football. I can enjoy and be passionate with Spurs without the need to get pi***. I stick to getting pi*** up on a night out, but football for me I don’t need to drink. Balls to public transport after the football.

Two minutes in and a bloke right behind me asked me to sit down, so I reluctantly did, but then the songs going so my brother and I stood up and didn't sit back down.
Got asked to sit down again so I had a moan at him, then someone a few rows back went 'sit down you p****s there are about 20k others this end trying to watch the game' ... Just told him to f off and he should've got a ST somewhere else in the ground if he doesn't like atmosphere... carried on for a little bit and it ended with me giving him the finger and calling him a silly bald c***
Considering trying to move my ST lower down where I know everyone was stood. The view isn't as good but the atmosphere looks better and the tickets are cheaper.

Where do you sit? We're in the South stand and literally everyone was stood for the entire game. Wasn't until the 70th minutes that the stewards asked us to site down, the moment they walked off, everyone stood again

so irritating mate. I honestly think they should have special sections of ground where you can sit only, so basically the boring c*** section where you can sit and not sing all you want. I honestly hate it when people don’t join in with the atmosphere. What is the point of going to football if you are not going to contribute to the atmosphere ?

I will do next time Rap. The tfl journey planner said the walk was 36 mins but apparently it’s only about 20
The noise was great in the Park Lane, my area stood up for the majority of the game.
The transport needs an overhaul, even if it’s just special buses between the stadium and Seven Sisters. I’d forgotten the 30 minute walk each way every home game

been reading through this and I thought that part of the deal was to upgrade the rail services into Tottenham, but not happening by the looks of it, it is the only way for me to get in live an hour out of London and midweek games are a no no
