Why were Chelsea only at 38.6k on Weds night CFC? I make that about 3k empty seats.

this is extremely rare...don't know why, we were 2nd of the capacity filled list last time they produced one, at about 99.2%

It's down to a few things

Rearranged fixture
Poor performances for a long time
Seats were mainly west ham upper costing £70+

Fans are fed up at the moment, it was good for everyone that we won convincingly and also put in a good performance. Everyone at the club and especially the fans really needed that.

Apparently, Stadium capacity is not 62k then if you consider the constant moving of segregation seats.

But, baldy cleverly sold dream that they have a biggest stadium. Self-satisfaction

Maf, thoughts on London stadium voted the worse stadium in the league by the football writers of the sun?

The London Stadium is easily the best athletics venue in the Premier League.

Quite low down for football though.

Agree some ( if not most ) of the seat pricing is way too high, particularly as football has it's historic roots within the working man's average wage capabilities. I mean not everyone is part of the so called "prawn sandwich" brigade.

But we all have to accept that demand for football dictates the prices we currently see. You pay, or you don't see.

That said, there has been numerous comments from non Spurs supporters on this topic, all of which are, frankly petty. This one coming from a Chelsea supporter, who enjoy a capacity of something like 20,000 less, in a ground that is about 30 years out of date.

If achieving capacity is the only comment you can come up with, when taking into account all the amazing positive aspects of the stadium,, then you really do live a sad life. Do you not preview your post and think, "well actually this makes me sound really envious" I really do feel sorry for you. Every day must just drag for you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate, pipe down with your comments about us having a stadium that is 30 years out of date when you've got a lovely stadium that has only been open a week. You had a stadium that was smaller than ours for a long time with 1950's staunchions in front of the Shelf so behave yourself.

I also agree with Hengy that all the talk about attendances is boring.

Someone can’t read. I said attendance talk was boring the comment you’ve quoted is asking where he ranks his teams stadium.

Nice try though

Will the capacity for football rather than NFL be smaller than Emirates?

posted on 6/4/19

Arsenal have announced they will increase the capacity of the Emirates Stadium by adding more hospitality seats.

The club will start a two-stage renovation project which will take place over the summers of 2018 and 2019 to add an extra 780 seats to their 'Club Level' areas.

This was the first game at the stadium so lets see what the remaining Prem games get this season?

CL games are always a few thousand under capacity so please bear that in mind when doing your post City attendance article.

Whatever Arsenals new capacity is won't be relevant until they start being honest about their gates as Chelsea were on Weds when you were 3k under what SB holds.
