Liverpool fans actually think they have an atmosphere to match/better thislet that sink in
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Incredible noise!
JT has also said elsewhere that Fenerbace was noisier than Anfield 05.
Anfield 05 was amazing tbf, as noisy as terrace days in the 80s
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was, but what they don't seem to realize is every club has their moments in CL knockout games, even The Emirates (Barca 11).
The true test of a fanbase is in adversity, if they were cheering the team bus and " surprising" teams in the Roy era i would have been the first to give them their dues.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, easy to create a good atmosphere for CL semi.
Making noise on a wet terrace at Ashton Gate in Div 2 is where the real passion is.
I found Old Trafford much noisier than Anfield in 80s.
Noisiest grounds I went to in 80s were Upton Park and Roker. Noisier than Anfield 05.
Noisiest ever been to is Boca, Celtic Park, then Galatasarray

Jose Mourinho:
"I felt the power of Anfield, it was magnificent.
Speaking to HLN about that night in Liverpool, Hazard said: “I love Anfield. The stadium, the pitch, the atmosphere. I love to play there.
John Terry autobiography
“I have never heard anything like it before and I don’t think I ever will again. It is the best atmosphere I’ve ever played in.
“I walked out into that cauldron and heard that singing and saw that passion. The hairs on my arms were standing up. To see a spectacle like that is inspiring to anyone.
“I just kept looking around, trying to take it all in. I wasn’t daunted by it, but it was amazing. I wish more crowds were like that.
“I have refereed at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Manchester United and Arsenal. But I’ve never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. It was incredible.”
– Referee, Lubos Michel
Thierry Henry:
“I love it when you step out of the dressing-room and you see the Kop, the scarves, and [hear people] singing You’ll Never Walk Alone. Just that, that would do it for me.”
Ryan Giggs:
“You could be playing against an average Liverpool team and it would still be one of the toughest games of the season, just because the crowd drive them on and the tradition between the two clubs.”
Fabio Capello, on atmosphere vs Juventus, 2005:
“The fantastic atmosphere at Anfield was like an electric shock for Liverpool’s players, who started the match at an astonishing tempo. They seemed unstoppable.”

I'd say from experience of travelling to the majority of premier league teams' grounds over the last 4 or 5 years that most are roughly the same.
Without a doubt the worst fans I've seen at the bridge are City, no disrespect, I'm just saying how it is.
They rarely sing and if they do they have 1 or 2 songs mainly chanting city city etc and I'm not sure if they have another one.
Overall they're very quiet. At least the other bigger teams make some noise and cheer their team but City are woeful to say the least
