“Why would we be? You’re merely describing the literal differences between the 2 scenarios and presenting it as an argument.”

Well no, you’re the one presenting the two scenarios as if there’s some sort of equivalence between the two. Being called a Scouse bstard is nothing near similar to Salah being labelled a suicide bomber, because he happens to be a Muslim.

What’s said on a telly show for comedic talent or satirical purpose is nothing like these lads being at the match and chanting that. Unless you’re saying everything chanted at the match is fair game because they’re only being funny?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I presented the scenarios to see if you could differentiate between the two. But you, like others an only tell me the literal difference. There’s no reasoning involved.

Do you think for example, the lads in the pub think Mo Salah is an actual bomber or that every Muslim is a bomber?

No you didn’t. You said;

“You scouse bstrds is acceptable but Salah is a bomber isn’t.”

You’re trying to find some sort of equivalent between the two. Being called a Scouse bstard is nothing like being labelled a bomber.

Tell you what Metro. Take your brother and a couple of mates to he pub. Start chanting ‘Nish Kumar is a bomber’ and see the reaction you get. See if people look over and say/think ah look at them lads over there being irreverent.

Sorry to say this and I’m sure many of you will lambast me (feel free) but they’ve gone way over the top with this.

Frankie Boyle said something similar about Romesh Ranganthan on television and every laughed their heads off - including Romesh who was also a panellist.

You scouse bstrds is acceptable but Salah is a bomber isn’t.

Jordan Peterson called this a mental weakness that the human race will probably never overcome.
...

It’s a competition with a lot of contenders but I think this actually wins worst ever comment on this website. Incredible.

If you know anything about Frankie Boyle you'd know that the joke metro is referring to wasn't someone "mocking an individual for looking like a typical terrorist".

The "joke" amongst these Chelsea fans is "oh muslims are terrorists, Salah is a Muslim so Salah is a terrorist".

Frankie Boyle's joke was satirical - that joke can be broken down to "The islamaphobic world we live in causes regular Asian people to be called terrorists solely because of the colour of their skin, this type of discrimination is laughably stupid and the type of people who carry this out should be mocked". The joke isn't "oh look at Romesh he looks like a terrorist".

Its SATIRE - He's literally making fun of the type of people metro is defending, and yet metro uses this as a way to defend them
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's hilarious really. Pretending that Frankie Boyle's regular jokes and parodies and caricatures about anti-Muslim/anti-Arab/anti-Palestinian prejudice is morally equivalent to some witless clods chanting "Salah is a bomber".
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just stating they’re different isn’t a good argument.

Christopher states it’s satire for one but won’t allow that excuse for a bunch of lads in a pub.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hilarious thing about the guy is the number of times he says "not a good argument" as if what he's saying is actually an argument. You actually think your absurd analogy about Scouse jokes is an argument? You really believe so?

To be honest, the effort to redeem you from your clearly broken path isn't worth my time. I'll leave others who have the patience to it.

Metro you are wrong..

You would "joke" with your mates in the pub in the same manner as these guys have done?
