I think in today's market he would probably go for £75-80m.

Hazard only has 1 yr left on his contract?

Pogba has 2 years left and is 3 years younger. Still doesn't justify the difference in my opinion.

Relative economics,is all.

No doubting Hazard is the better footballer but transfer fees nowadays are based on more than that alone

Should be cheaper then as Man U are burdened with him

As well as relative youth and length of contract, Pogba's price would be impacted by his marketing value. For some reason I don't claim to understand, Pogba's face can shift more product than Hazard's.

3 years left on Pogba's contract really. 2 years + 1 year extension option which can be unilaterally activated by United.

Feel like Pogba is a bit underrated but anyway.

Transfer price comes down to two key things. How much a club is willing to sell their player for and how much another is willing to bid (that's obviously based on various factors but who is better isn't always the main driver).

United would probably be happy to sell Sanchez for 1p to get him off their wage book while Arsenal would probably turn down 20m for Iwobi.

In today's market, that is cheap for Hazard, so one of two things is happening.

His contract is about to expire soon

He had some kind of word of mouth deal to stay at Chelsea for another year and then move to Madrid is an offer of £X was met

Thing is Hazard will go for £86m.

No-one will pay that for Pogba.

If Hazard is going for £86m, Madrid would be insane to pay more than £50m for Pogba. Such an overrated player who has the occasional wonder game between months of crap. The black Jonjo Shelvey. I'll give him credit though he is world class at building up his own hype and marketing himself.

If only he was half as good as PL POTY Naby Keita

So you're still 6th and out of all the cups.

Higuain cost more than Suarez, football transfers aren’t an exact science based on the relative qualities of two respective players. It amazes me people still don’t understand this when witnessing how mental transfers have become the last few years.

Pogba is a very talented player who imo can be a very important part of a very good side but while I’d actually like that side to be United, I don’t see us making a side good enough for him to be at his best anytime soon (if that makes any sense) so if he wants to go then he should and we should get players that help us with where we are now and who can all be on the same page as we move forward.

Most of us do tbh. Some people just don’t look deeper in their analysis of a situation to understand simple economics.

Flat track bully. Goes missing gar too often. Our midfield don’t need to score many goals we have some of the best forwards in Europe
