True.. seems the media all love Pep no matter what he does.. he is a genius haven’t you heard. Or rather, we are constantly that’s the case. Bullocks I say, average footballer and just another Mourinho type manager that needs to spend hundreds of millions year on year to continue to compete.
Are City not playing on Wednesday night now?
Depends on how you interpret it. For me The media reports of City’s ‘nightmare’ fixture congestion was to highlight how tough their run in could potentially be. It wasn’t so much making an excuse should they fail, more simply saying how exhausting the run in could prove to be.
Have the media posted any stories saying that City being knocked out of the CL on Wednesday was down to the fixture congestion? If they haven’t, then they’ve not used it as an excuse. At least not yet...
Is Liverpool’s and Spurs run in now more of an issue? That is, is it as congested as city’s was / potentially could have been?
It’s an interesting point though. City now have four league games to contend with and no other distractions - the FA Cup final being played after the final league game of the season. That said, Liverpool and Spurs only play two games more. At the time of the media stories about City’s fixtures, they were facing potentially a lot more than 2 games over their rivals.
Its just two games but these are heavy games saan. They demand a lot of attention.
Liverpool might have to really focus on the CL now. Can't see City not winning all 4 games, United have been crap. If we can somehow get past Barca then on the other side its Ajax or Spurs.
3 points on wed and I do think we’ll get over the line
If Liverpool win nothing again will the pressure start on Juergen as he’s more or less has a free pass on continued failure so far
Spurs and Liverpool wil play 2 more games than City before the end of the season.
Compare that to all the free mid-week nights they've had while City were winning the Carabao Cup and getting to the FA Cup final.

Would finishing on 95+ points and going out of the CL semis to Barcelona be seen as failure?
Would finishing on 95+ points and going out of the CL semis to Barcelona be seen as failure?
On this website, yes.
True. Barcelona away, Newcastle away, Barcelona at home in the space of 6 days is tough. Playing on Friday before the Barca away game the following Wednesday is a bonus in terms of days rest though.
A lot will depend on that first game against Barcelona. If you get hammered, then the 2nd leg almost becomes a bye in terms of where the priorities shift to. Close game in that first leg though and considering you play the Tuesday after playing Newcastle on the Saturday - that’s going to then be a tough one in terms of team selection.
The two games are huge and could have a massive impact in all fairness.
And of course a lot depends on the city/united game.
Navigate Cardiff first, if Cardiff take anything from tomorrow’s game then city’s game against United becomes a bye for us.
City will lose to Burnley..
Aren't Liverpool playing at Newcastle on the Sunday?

We play Barca away first on the 1st, Newcastle 7:45 on the 4th and then Barca at home on the 7th.
To answer to my own question is no.
The game has been brought forward to Saturday.
The PL/Sky have never moved a game to help City in Europe.
Whatever happens now jurgen has had a successful season. There isnt a manager in the world id prefer or could do a better job with the finances available

I think a night off is probably harder work than some of the games City played on their glorious run to Wembley.

Thanks Fields. Correction - in the space of seven days.
KdB, arguably our best player was out for 10 weeks after getting injured in one of those 'easy' games.

I don’t think the league would let anyone play the Sunnand have a CL game on the Tue.
To be fair Boris, it would be ridiculous if Liverpool played on a Sunday then again on a Tuesday.

Yep, you can see the usual cadre of cretins typing out the articles about Klopp failing and Liverpool bottling the title and refusing to give City any credit at all because of your owners.
Simple fact is Liverpool have been fantastic this season. Unfortunately there is another fantastic team in the league and they’ll probably do a tiny bit better.
