The guy is as much of a virus as Jose was. Supported him but he just hasn’t grown up and he needs to go this summer for all our sakes.

"I know he’s surrounded by dross, but he’s part of the problem as well."

I'm fed up of seeing similar comments to this as well as "get good players around him and he'll be superb", "he needs two beside him in midfield to get the best of him".

Good players shine brighter in shlt teams. Poor players are exposed when they play in shlt teams and protected in good ones.

Roy Keane commanded a British transfer record fee after being part of a team that was relegated. Do you see anyone claiming Pogba's value has went up in this period of mediocrity at Utd?

We do tend to make a lot of excuses for him on here. He could get a lot of folk off his back if he just put in more effort.

if Pogba had the attitude of Keane or Scholes, you'd have a world class player. As it is, you've got a player with world class ability, who simply can't be bothered to apply his talent.
Get rid, he's toxic, better to have someone less talented than him who'll give consistent performances week in week out.

Maybe due to length of contract but all the figures being banded about are that he'll go to Madrid for ~£130m.

No facking chance.
Madrid occasionally make some transfer howlers but no way they're going to stake the bulk of their transfer fund and the revival of their club on Pogba the same way Jose did here.

If we do flog Pogba however we need to aovid the mistakes made when we parted with Ronaldo (Likely Glazer involvement). Robben and Sneijder could have been snapped up as part of that deal. In this one we need to get ahold of 1 of Varane/Casemiro/Isco/Asensio plus Kroos, who I imagine isn't worth a lot anymore.

This is very one dimensional. A CM will rarely "shine" in a poor team unless they're all hustle and bustle (Fred?).

How many times did Pogba have the ball last night, look up multiple times and have zero options?

Not just Pogba, but most of the side.

Be interesting to see the parallel universe where United never signed Pogba and Mourinho is still in charge 🤔

How many times did Pogba jog around the pitch - look at the second goal. Jogging back to provide cover.

Effort right now is all we can ask for. If he can’t put the effort in then he should be sold for players who will treat playing for United as an honour rather than a stepping stone

This is true, there was no movement at all up front. All we did with the ball was cross it sideways between the full backs and then tried to cross balls in because we had no clue how to play through the middle. It’s the same fecking issues that we’ve seen with the previous managers.

not really possible as he wasn´t worth 20% of what you paid for him to start with. hes at best a 30mill pound player struggling with a 90mill pound pricetag

If only you had listened to myself and the few others that saw beyond the YouTube clips.

Same with Lukaku.

You do seem to back a hell of a lot of duds.

Even Gerrard, who I would say is the best example of a player who dragged his team forward, used to sometimes go huge swathes of a season playing badly, especially once Alonso left.

We've seen what Pogba can do when our average players are in form and full of confidence. I'm more than happy if he stays and we try and work on that team form and confidence rather than just expect one or two players to magically pull world class performances out of their asss.

Seriously though Baz, I hate it when players do that, it's almost as though they're taking the pi$$

Everyone saw the Everton game and the lack of effort from the players, he couldn't have picked a worse time to tweet that nonsense

posted on 25/4/19

I can understand his frustration. His game relies on others getting into positions he can put a ball into, if that’s not happening, then you can see why his head goes down. He could help himself by doing some of the dirty work too, putting in effort, that would get fans inside, we want to see him at his best splitting defences open, but if that ain’t happening then we’ll settle for him putting in the work to help get the ball back, a little more battle.

posted on 25/4/19

I have never understood this logic of getting rid of your best players before the dross. If people want Pogba sold, then surely it would be a better idea to do it AFTER we sign some proper talent?

Selling Pogba and then allowing Matic, Fred and Mct to take on the burden of creating goal scoring chances isn’t an option.

Neither is the rumour that he’s a virus, we’re not even sure if Mourinho said it or if it was speculation. He hasn’t affected the French or Juve squads and Ole hasn’t said anything about his “influence” so what are you actually talking about?

posted on 25/4/19

Yeah we were up against one the best sides in the world last night but it's not as though we're a relegation threatened side, these are high ticket players making simple mistake after mistake, then there's the lack of urgency to put right those mistakes, 2nd half was embarrassing
