United fan here but even I am happy to admit that Liverpool are above us in the league this season and I'm a United fan. This is coming from a United fan as well!
Are you a United fan then Andrew ?
Both Liverpool and Man City have been incredible this season at churning out results under pressure.
It’s a shame that one club has to finish 2nd.
It’s strange to think that Man United won the league with 75 points in 96/97 - a total Liverpool passed six games ago

Sunderland also relegated that season despite getting the magic 40 points. Is it not against the law to relegate once you get to 40 points?
It isn't over yet
Nobody has 'bottled' anything, our 2 teams have been slugging it out like the end of Rocky 2
Whoever comes second would have in any other season been a worthy champion
Obviously, as a City fan I want us to win it, but if not, hats off to you, it's been a fantastic season
Starting to get the feeling ten years from now Liverpool fans are gonna be claiming this year as a virtual title regardless.
doesn't matter how many points you win by, as long as you win it

Maybe not “against the law”, but certainly not very gentlemanly.
What would be the minimum points needed to come second this season?
This city team have been relentless 12 wins on the bounce including smashing man utd and doing enough v Spurs.

City win both, finish on 98. We win both finish on 97.
Mental to think 97 points will only get us second.
to be honest would be gutted if we didnt win the league, superb points total that it is, just means we really did compete for it and that's all.
OP getting the excuses in early
So Jürgen Klopp has now attained more points than Alex Ferguson ever had in a Premier League season with 2 games still to play
.............................
Good for him.
It will all count for nothing if you don't win the league.
I've been pleasantly surprised by Liverpool. Not only have they mounted a serious challenge to CIty, they could still win it in the last two games. They have only lost one game all season and every time the pressure has been on, they have stepped up. A good, effective and exciting system and recruited absolutely the players needed to carry that out. Klopp needs a lot of credit.

need a bit more luck to then overcome them. 12 wins in a row.. wtf.
