WBA won’t be allowed to take it easy due to a new ruling:

The policy states: “For any league match played on or after the fourth Thursday in March, any team sheet for a league game should include at least 10 outfield players who featured on the team sheet for the league match before.”

---------------------------------------------------------

Is that 10 out of 18 or 10 out of 11?

They could rest 8 players and that's a lot.

33 runs off the last two balls, tall order.

Lancs win by 30 runs - bit too much too late.......

Blown that, could have been second with a win, now languishing in fifth.

Anyroad, to really change the topic:

can anyone better informed than me explain how a cabinet minister can merely be sacked (presumably retaining his "ministerial" pension rights) and still be a member of the Privy Council, when if this very serious leak had been made by a civil servant, he would probably been sent to jail?

No Scouse I can't help you. Since most of the cabinet have been leaking and not obeying 3 line whips and keeping their jobs, nothing surprises me. However Pike might be not guilty and that is why they aren't getting the police involved. Mrs May is the most useless PM we have ever had, you couldn't imagine anyone worse till you think the next one could be Corbyn.

............. and apparently he'll be in receipt of three months ministerial salary (£17,000).

Try asking any employer for three months salary when getting fired for gross misconduct.

And since when did the Prime Minister have sway over the police or the CPS?

Changing the subject yet again, did you see anything of the Tour de Yoirkshire today, Spart ?

No need to worry VC (& Heb), Corbyn won't become PM for the same reasons Michael Foot & Neil Kinnock never did (or Ed Miliband come to think of it).

Yep. That no matter what party we may think we support......there are just some people utterly beyond The Pale......

Now quite enough politicking - thoughts should now turn to Sunday

No Ang, although it went about 10 miles from me at one point. Watching a bike road race is an ephemeral experience that makes the life of a May fly look positively epic.

Ephemeral: great word Spartacus.

Sounds a bit like the TT races in the Isle of Man except the bikes are doing 200mph instead of 40mph, (but at least they come round on another lap or four 17 minutes later.

Blink and you miss it. At least it's free.

A mate of mine biked it from Ashbourne to see the Tour de France when it came to Sheffield. On the outskirts of Sheffield he had a puncture and hadn't a repair kit so he missed it.

Going out on a bike ride without a PRK is a bit like going to the pub without any money?
