I don't think tanned would suffice either.
The riots took place in the height of summer and I'm sure many londoners were tanned at that stage.
What happens in 3 months time when the prime suspects tanned skin tone has wore off?
I have to admit, when I first commented on this thread I never could've imagined it would end up turning out this way!
I'd imagine it'll be pulled any minute, so I'll say my goodbyes now.
I didn't think anyone could take this topic to such extremes either. But it seems like Benzeguero just can't help himself.
Hey, we're still talking about Chris Smalling arent we?
How about Phil Jone's hair
Brown or blonde RonAlvinho.
Knowing you, you will probably say multi-coloured no?
No we're not Benzeguero.
It seems you managed to turn a healthy discussion about a "tanned" footballer, into the london riots.
I don't know what opinions you have deep in your subconcious, but what i have seen today sickens me.
Phil Jones has light brown hair.

Phil Jones + Chris Smalling > Ferdinand + Vidic
Watch this space
Ferdinand is the most over rated defender of this era.
Jones > Ferd and Vidic > Smalling.
Ferdinand is and was class.
CBs should be judged on partnerships and there's no denying that Ferdinand and Vidic complimented each other like no other....
Btw, JOnes is the new Vidic and Smalling the new Rio

Dont be silly.
Ferdinand would be no where in this world if it wasn't for his good mate Gary Neville protecting the right flank for a decade.
Notice how he's rarely played since G Nevs retired.

And couldnt the same be said for EVERY centre back in the world?
I doubt even a hybrid of Cannavaro/Maldini/Vidic could do well without a RB helping them defend their right flank
Macherano does a good job with no RB cover for Barca when they adopt the 3-4-3 formation and he's not even a defender by trade.
You said it yourself, 3-4-3
Mascherano is the CB/RB
Yes, he plays CB and covers the RB position. That doesn't mean he has an RB protecting his right flank like Ferdinand has all these years... It means he effectively carries out both roles. Something Ferdinand couldn't do, since he can't do CB alone without Gary Neville protecting the right flank for him.

And here is me thinking that it was because he was injured.
Neville made 31 PL starts in his last 4 years at United. In the same period Rio made 90. It is worth considering that in this spell we have enjoyed as most successful period as a club and broken records for not conceding a goal.
You should also consider the fact that Mascherano is playing in the best team in the world right now - possibly ever.
Not to mock his ability as he is a class player - but Barca often have upwards of 65% possession. Its not like he is tested that often.
