Agree with Phenom re. outs.
Wan-Bissaka seems the obvious one for right back. I doubt Palace would sell both him and Zaha to Spurs in the same window, though. I think getting Wan-Bissaka would be more beneficial than getting Zaha, to be honest, since Spurs need a right back more than they need a forward.
Ndombele and Van de Beek in midfield, for me. Expensive, yes. But they'd be worth the huge investment. This is where Spurs really need to hold their noses and splurge. I like Tielemans but for me he'd be very much third choice behind those two.
A winger/forward like Ziyech would be nice, particularly if he's available for £25m as rumoured, but I would only go for him once higher priority targets were secured.
I still think Ademola Lookman would thrive at Spurs. Young, English, pacey, decent backup for the time being, shown a good deal of talent on loan, and Pochettino would undoubtedly improve him. I doubt he'd be massively expensive.
How much would Wan-Bissaka set you back? 40m?
Zaha would be silly money as well about 50-60m.
At 100m for the pair it doesn't sound like great business.
I think those are probably accurate prices in isolation, but both together would probably add a £20m premium on top. I just don't see Palace wanting to sell their two best players to the same team.
Where do you think you stand in regards to your CB's?
Is Alderweireld staying or is his contract up? At 30 it would be your last chance to get decent cash for him.
Also Vertonghen is now 32, still very good but age catches all players at some point.
Sanchez/Foyth good enough backups?
Comment deleted by Site Moderator
personally I would prefer to keep toby for another year and lose for nothing than sell for 25m
To answer your questions RJC:
1. Alderweireld has a £25m release clause that is open from the start of the window until 2 weeks before the window closes, by all accounts. It seems likely that someone will meet the release fee, but that said, Spurs' success this year means there's every chance he'll sign a new deal. He certainly doesn't seem to be pushing to leave.
2. Vertonghen is absolutely top quality and has a couple of good years left at least. He doesn't rely on pace anyway.
3. Sanchez was good in 17/18 when played every week alongside Vertonghen because Alderweireld was inexplicably out of favour. He's regressed badly this year though - whether that's due to lack of regular games or something else, who knows. He's quick and strong but has lapses in concentration and is pretty pants on the ball. Definitely not ready to be first choice yet.
4. Foyth is kinda the opposite of Sanchez - he's pretty unimpressive physically but he's fantastic on the ball. In fact his (over-)confidence gets him into trouble quite often. I think he'll become a really top drawer ball-playing centre half in a few years, but he's nowhere near ready yet.
Yeah Zaha was just put there because i couldnt think of a wide forward with pace and directness who can also play down the middle. Also he's homegrown. Only homegrown player i'd sell/get rid of is Trippier. Promote KWP to 2nd choice fack it. We should be getting 2 or 3 homegrown players in i would have thought and at least 2 quality buys from overseas.
spot on regarding the CBs. Sanchez has had his injuries this season on and off like most players for us. But for a young player going backwards after 2 season, no matter the circumstances, is worrying for me. He shows no signs to me of being a top defender at PL level. All pace and recover tackling. His positioning and ability on the ball is terrifying in the poorest sense. Hope im proved very wrong. I do prefer him at the moment to foyth at CB though, as he is more reliable in the tackle and has had more experience in the prem.
OUT - Wanyama (£15m) Tripper (£25m) Janssen (£10m) Nkoudou (£5m) Llorente (£0)
Reluctantly Eriksen £70m Toby £25m

Never going to happen
NDombele to replace Wanyama
Zaha to replace Nkoudou
Werner to replace Janssen
Grealish to replace Dembele
New LB to replace Davies
New RB to replace Aurier / Trippier
Toby and Eriksen to sign new deals.
That would be lovely.

We won't pay 70m for Maguire cos he ain't worth it. Utd would cos theyre desperate and now seen as a cash cow by clubs agents and players. Looking forward to seeing who mugs Utd off this summer. Half your players are mugging you off
