You're wasting your time with these mousers, they look for anything to be offended by.

So as long as it's not about Hillsborough or Sean Cox, it's fine to sing about fans being attacked in Ukraine?

Jesus christ some people are just braindead

Professional footballers trivializing football hooligans/violence. Doesnt matter who it was.

Op doesn’t know the difference between fan and player behaviour. He’s clearly too stupid to bother conversing with.....

Yet you ‘waste’ so much of your own time typing insults about us

What a surprise, someone else who has missed the point entirely. How do these people even find their way to a website?

Fans sing all sorts of rubbish, the issue is that a professional team sung it. Although, you have made it worse than I thought by confirming that ‘battered in the streets’ does indeed refer to genuine attacks on Liverpool fans.

I’m still not sure what it is other fans think we should be ashamed of which we aren’t already. And what we feel we’re victims of that we shouldn’t be? You can apply that statement to just about every football fan, just regurgitating a sentence you’ve seen on the internet to look cool.

the op is what i'd call filth and frankly he knows full well whats what with this so called song.

low club, low fans and shouldn't even be posted on here.

Yes we’re all proper gibbons at city 🤦‍♂️

My two cents on the issue. Someone heard it. Thought it was to do with Sean cox/ Hillsborough. Saw their ar53. Realises it wasn’t. Now the goalposts have been moved to it being unacceptable for professionals to sing a chant. Whole things pretty trivial imo. At least the fa seem to agree.

I personally find the whole thing infantile.

So do I, and I think the whole thing too. Shouldn’t have been sung, shouldn’t have been videod, shouldn’t have been posted, shouldn’t have been misconstrued into something more than it was, shouldn’t have been condoned.

Funniest thing to come out of all this is certain City fans justification of well is fans have been singing it all season.

Seriously lads, get Noel to pen some chants that don’t involve other clubs.

Totally agree Melton.

Whether the song meant this or that is irrelevant to me. The thing I find strangest is that city players are singing about us hours after winning the prem. Really weird.

Because the media and Martin Tyler and co were desperate for a final day Liverpool win and they didnt get it.

Never get this. Martin Tyler can’t stand us. You can hear it when we score

Noel hasn’t penned anything decent for 24 years. Fortunately I don’t think we’re the only club to have a chant that has another team in it!

It was more the we’ve been chanting about you all season.

I said on the other thread. It’s as of certain City fans are trying to create as intense a rivalry we have with United in the space of two seasons.

All of the media, wanted Liverpool to win the league. You could practically hear every pundit and commentator crying whenever city won this season. Especially on
the final day.

There's a huge difference between the fans singing it and the players singing it.

Get that through your thick skull OP.

Aside from City rightly being heaped with praise last season, and all of this. From the predictions ore season I saw on the BBC more tipped City for the title than us.

Both teams have received deserved praise this season.
