Agree 100% gotta keep him and give him the players he wants - don’t think they’ll be a huge overhaul as most are predicting.....

My only disappointment with Bielsa and coach staff is the defensive situation - it started about 5/6 games ago - same old mistakes, opposition needed 1 or 2 shots in target for a goal and got it. That was our ultimate demise.

This is a tough tough league - let’s hope villa go up.. Some big teams still in there with more financial strength than us....

Let’s go again, let’s really go for it next season

Fook everyone else, just fooking destroy em.

Day one, we smash it

Cannot agree more. He is the most crucial signing we have had to make in years.
Radz then needs to back him with 5 quality signings

Looking forward to many more years of Marcelo.

Bloody genius.

The man is not perfect but perfect for Leeds United!

Has to stay. Best thing to happen to the club in a long time

Agree with all

Pep Guardiola's first season at Manchester City:
A decent brand of quality attacking football, but falling short of end product, and an end-of-season fade that ultimately led to disappointment.

Pep Guardiola's second season at Manchester City:
Total domination of the entire league, laying waste to all before them and crowned as champions with games to spare.

Marcelo Bielsa's first season at Leeds United:
A decent brand of quality attacking football, but falling short of end product, and an end-of-season fade that ultimately led to disappointment.

Marcelo Bielsa's second season at Leeds United:
??????????

Just sayin'.

Couldn't agree more but if he does stay based on historical evidence, he never normally goes more than 2 years in club football , only 4 years with Argentina and Chile.

I still am fearful he might go now - His integrity is beyond bounds and I believe he will be taking the defeat very personally and being extremely hard on himself.

Believe me I desperately hope I'm wrong - just putting it into context , Bamford and Casillas have potentially come at a cost of £14 M ; MB wasn't cheap but personally feel he has been worth so much more.
He has basically seeped into every aspect of the club and he has got the fans on board like no one else for years.

Now I fully understand why fans all around the world take to him.

If he wants assurances then I guess we could be waiting a good few weeks for him to consider his position....

My fear is he stays and if we have a patchy start next season he walks by December - leaving us with a wasted season. All ifs buts and maybe’s....... botttom line is investment

If he stays and is given what we want we win it, simple as.

He leaves and we crumble

MB will have learned a lot about the end of season misfortunes, and next season if he stays I think we will bulldoze the Championship as long as he keeps most of the squad he used this season, bar some liabilities. We need a prolific scorer.

Would be great if we could get Milner or Snodgrass back - I hear Yaya Toure has retired, can you imagine him being lured here ! Salary would be a problem...

We MUST have cohesion, stability & continuity and from here on in.

Imagine being sarcastic about the club doing something Marcelo wants them to do.

WTF is wrong with you?

There was a team meeting yesterday no mention from him of leaving, no goodbyes just usual debriefing and running through the game, he did apologise to a couple of players for not playing them more, think it’s fairly obvious who they were after last two games, I think he will stay,

There is no point even trying to argue with him, the club will always be doing things wrong until it does exactly as he wants.

Always here criticising when we've lost, but a lot quieter when were winning

Good article, LIW and agree completely.

I'm still devastated about Wednesday's game. But if Bielsa stays, I'll be looking forward to next season. Give him what he wants and I think we win the league. To achieve 3rd with this group of players in his 1st season is incredible. Only 11 points off the title. Both Farke and Wilder were in their second seasons at this level with their group of players that they can add to. We always hear about giving managers time. We'll let's see what this one can do with some time.

The first thing that should be promised is a budget fir new players that Bielsa wants. Not further improvements to a training ground we don’t own and owner wants to move away from.

They aren't going to plan for players until we knew which league we are in. They can plan for improvements to TA which Bielsa wants.

It sounds a sensible way round to me.

We've had the discussion about capital spending on leasehold properties ad finitum. It happens all the time.
