This thread encapsulates exactly what is wrong with the internet in 2019........eighties says his opinion and he’s berated just because it goes against the grain

I knew very little of him before he came to Tottenham, and he has turned into a very decent manager, but does need to add silverware to the obviously excellent Prem League Finishes. Hopefully winning a trophy this weekend will be the start of many to come under Poch.
I do also need to see a little bit less of the unneccesary rotation, just to keep all the players happy, but maybe I am being a bit pedantic there.

Don't forget or try to gloss over the fact you have wanted him sacked multiple times during his tenure.
Poch is a fine manager. He has done a fantastic job since Spurs hired him.

I'm downgrading Pochettino's time at Spurs from 9/10 to 7.5/10. I feel he's been lucky with the introduction of VAR.
A proper manager should have his team up by 2 or 3 goals so when an incorrect goal is wrongly given the team is in a comfortable enough position to not be impacted.
Matter of fact, i'm reducing it to 6/10 because it's all about winning trophies. I don't care about any variables that impact his ability to challenge for a title. Right, i'm drawing the line.. it's 5.5/10 for the first 5 years because i have an opinion and you can't tell me otherwise.

I would give him a 9/10 for his first five years here. I think he has done a tremendous job considering our limited resources during that time. He's not only brought us CL but we are now incredibly in the final!
The only reason he doesn't have a 10/10 is because of trophies. I think we've had it in us to win a domestic trophy even if it's the league cup but i appreciate the difficulties in club priorities.
Hopefully we win on Saturday and what an amazing tenure that would be for him at the club. I think he has improved tactically as well during the period and may it continue.

Unfortunately winning trophies is the major way that managers are judged, eg: Fergie, Wenger, so 9/10 is somewhat overly generous. The same goes for Klopp. One of them will rid themselves of this stigma in the CL Final!

Thank you. Let's hope we are about to win trophies. As Hoddle said recently in a post-match analysis, opening game of the new stadium, if I recall, we need a trophy. Even one. At least to start with. And then everything else will fall in to place.
Managers aren't remembered for league finish positions. Even cup runs - granted win or lose this Saturday this cup run will never be forgotten. Especially in contrast to the way our PL season took a nose dive.
So, I give our Mau 7/10 and all hell breaks loose??
