i wouldn't call it hate though, people were having pops at him coz his goals werent' that great, tap ins, back of the heel etc but people will have a pop at anything.
Even the likes of Messi and Ronaldo get stick, he's no different.

Kane has been treated very well by most parts, rival fans will hate him regardless of what he does because he's a rival.
The recent 'hate' is more down to him playing in the CL final, when he clearly wasn't fit and didn't warrant a starting place over Moura.

I'm inclined to disagree. He serves a very adequate purpose in reminding us there is a shallow end to the gene pool and a medical miracle in that he can perform basic tasks without the slightest hint of a functioning brain.

The animosity between supporters of the top teams when England play is ridiculous.
Reading English match threads on here you sometimes get the impression some fans want the players from their rivals to fail just so they can have a pop.
I never particularly liked Roy keane but once he pulled on the ROI jersey he had my 100% support

A lot could be to do with the tribal nature of English football. I didn't like Rush at LFC but always supported him for Wales and no one cheered more when he scored a winning goal against Germany. The smaller nations can probably put their differences aside quicker.

For the record I like Kane. Very good striker, good attitude wanting to play every game he can and always gives 100%. Nothing wrong with claiming goals either. At the very low level I played Id claim everything I could as well!

Is a mix of basic jealousy, which unfortunately always bears it's teeth when a British sports person is successful. Eg Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton etc etc.
Then there is fear. Other supporters and bias pundits always hate the people they most see as a threat to their team.
I am sure kane does not give a fig for what these people say. Probably be more worried if they all liked him.
Off the top of my head, reasons why people may not like Kane:
Selfish, didn't square it to Sterling in the world cup semi finals
Claiming goals from his own team mates.
Growing consensus that the Team plays better without him
Probably other reasons but i think generally people think it's all about 'me' with him. I personally don't mind the guy tho
