Next summer we have 13 players entering the final season of their contracts.
One signing we should look to make off the field is Michael Edwards of Liverpool. He was previously employed by us before moving to Liverpool where he was able to bring in high fees for the likes of Solanke, Ibe and Coutinho, as well as buying Van Dyke and Allison.
Seeing as there were reports of Paratici looking for a number 2 he would be a dream. He is leaving Liverpool as well and is on gardening leave.

I reckon if he is on gardening leave and announced he is leaving he probably has already signed a contract with another club or has a club lined up? Probably Newcastle for dollar.
Great idea though, really rate what he has done at Liverpool.
Yeah haven't thought about Newcastle. They finally secured Dan Ashworth from Brighton recently after his own gardening leave expired.
Edwards is from Southampton originally. Hopefully he is tempted to move closer to home. Chelsea have also been linked ffs.
Dont Edwards and Paratici roughly do the same thing?
Edwards was just sporting director of Liverpool. He's not gonna want to be anyone's assistant

Yes they do. Both are Sporting Directors but with our new found wealth and CL status I'm sure if an opportunity to hire someone like Edwards was available you make room for him.
Just look at the signings he has made and the fees he has received for players whilst he has been at Liverpool.
He is better than Fabio Paratici and masterminded Liverpool's transfer strategy, to give Klopp the best opportunity to win trophies.
Chelsea are after De Ligt, how overrated is he btw ?
You’d sack Paratici for edwards then?

Where did I say that? Given the success Liverpool have had on and off the field he has left them in good shape.
Look at he state of Juve since Paratici left.
But despite some early mistakes from Paratici like the Gollini, Bryan Gil and Emerson signings, not to mention Nuno, he seems to have learned quickly.
You have to think Edwards played Paratici like a fiddle with the whole Diaz transfer too.
PSG have opened talks with Inter Milan over a move for Milan Skriniar (27), with incoming sporting director Luis Campos attending discussions between the sides.
Inter are going to funk us over again.

Where did you say that? With your signing off the field comment suggesting you wanted a sporting director and I’d assumed you meant in place of Paratici unless you think we’d be mad enough to have two people doing the same role.
The Diaz thing wasn’t Paratici getting played like a fiddle. It was a guy who had agreed to go to Liverpool in the summer and us try and sign him cheekily with a hopeful bid that if anything cost Liverpool more than they intended to pay
That's an interesting way to spin the Diaz story
Well according to reports Paratici wants a number 2 so maybe he cannot cope with the job at hand by himself. Paratici's remit is the women's side as well as the youth too.
Maybe he can do them areas and let Edwards just concentrate on the first team with Paratici aiding him with the Italian market?
That would be a good scenario.
Is it a spin? I’m pretty sure those are the facts?

You and I don't know the full facts but when you look at the timeline of events, we had agreed a fee for him only for Liverpool to match it and take the player. Edwards played Paratici like Chelsea did with Willian.
To say we agreed a higher fee and it cost Liverpool more is total spin.
