It's not moaning. I want success for my club. Been following them since about 1975 and have seen them achieve virtually nothing since the mid 1980.

All this "we need to get top 4" stuff is primarily what a lot of teams want, not because they think they can win it, but for the money, and the popular conception that that income will enable the team to progress. Not to hold in some bank account.

As for the £150m, yes the club clearly said that money was available TO SPEND, together with any player sale money. So what do you expect them to spend it on. Perhaps upgrade the stadium window cleaning services ? it should be spent on the playing staff, not sat in a bank account.

Still, sorry if I am a moaner and want success on the pitch, but if you are happy with yet another year of nothingness and watching teams that do spend go past us in the league, then carry on not moaning. Carry on telling yourself that a club listed in the top 15 richest in the world, with a cash cow of a stadium and CL football, will somehow miraculously come good without the investment that is clearly needed, whist being outspent by the likes of West Ham.

Yeah, carry on not moaning. It's all good.

Come in guys, the £150m was never a war chest. There wasn’t even any smoke screens over this - it was investment into the club to be used in a number of ways.

There’s nothing to say we were only going to spend £1m this summer, or £300m.

People need to give their head a wobble if they’re fixated on the idea that £150m was specifically to be fully blown on transfers.

Yep, people were getting all giddy at the time it was announced, thinking we would have this massive transfer pot. I called it as it was, which was nothing more than a clever ploy from Levy to pull the wool over fans eyes yet again.

Up to now it has been a 6/10 window, the first XI has not really been improved barring maybe Perisic, the rest are much of a likeness and have just added depth.

We are still not good enough technically at RWB, CB and lack another option at attacking midfield.

Sky sports reporting (via evening standard) that we are in talks with Chelsea for Ziyech.. I'd be very happy with this..

I traced the Ziyech rumour back, evening standard have it in their gossip column for spurs. It originates from a Spanish outlet called revero. Never heard of them, doesn't mean it's not true, but not as hopeful as first appeared.

I guess you meant to say first half. Yeah we were doing fine. There was a weird first 5 minutes of the second half where Hojbjerg appeared to be injured, hobbled off while everyone warmed up (Skipp, Sarr) then he came back on.. it all seemed a bit of a shambles and caused confusion. IIRC their goal came soon after Hojbjerg came back on for the second time after changing his boot.

IMO we should've just hooked him. After the goal the game opened up and we definitely let them have a few too many chances. Son stayed on even though he was useless and Royal regressed back to doing absolutely nothing after a promising first half hour or so.

I don't mind the tactics but Conte sitting on his hands when the game had clearly shifted away from us annoyed me. Yeah there's only so much he can do but you have to do something..
