Well a point that others have said many a time, he's decent going forward if he gets space and separation. He is just unable to do that himself.

I'd be willing to keep Sess around and see if he can work under an attack-minded manager. He's only just turned 23 and he's English. We could do with homegrown players right now. Last chance saloon for him though.

He must have a good attacking side in him somewhere. Scored 15 goals in the Championship as a teenager. Unless he already peaked at 18.

if you look at his goals they're all tap ins. he had excellent movement, he was never a good dribbler or passer.

candidates were broadly consistent outside of the obvious paratici ones, ended up hiring a great coach.

Ultimately annoying that it was levy (+munn?) were in charge rather than a DoF though

Yeah I think as you guys touched on - it was obvious we’d wait until the end of the season, and that’s a good move. DoF slightly more puzzling but I think it’s acceptable if we get one this summer as you don’t know about non-competes etc.

The pool of candidates has been good throughout though, I’d have been happy with any one of Nagelsmann, Ange, Slot, Kompany, De Zerbi or Rodgers. Only one I wasn’t happy with is Enrique.

he didn't really do it at Celtic, though he did sign a lot of young players. Abada was 19 when he came in iirc for example, so he's not averse to playing younger players, so if the quality is there in the academy I feel like he would be up for it.
