I'm still not sold on Gil and some fan's weird obsession with him. Saw him in the final and he got subbed. Still too lightweight
giving him a go under a new manager to save a signing isnt exactly a weird obsession
but we've been here before

So why not give every other loanee a chance too? Why is he so special? The haircut maybe?

Remember we should be signing 6ft line backers unless they are ballers like Andrew Hatate
gotta consider squad balance etc

/10 window if this is the squad?
Raya/Forster
Emerson/Porro/Spence
Romero/Dier/Laporte/Lenglet
Udogie/Davies
Bissouma/Bentancur/Hojbjerg/Skipp/Sarr/Maddison
Kulu/Kane/Richarlison/Son/Gil
----------------------------------------------------------------------
tbh that would be refreshing enough I think
Laporte to help simmer down Romero
Maddison to help create where Hojbjerg, Skipp can't
Raya... cos we need a facking keeper
Out of the current squad, if Ange can implement his style fairly quickly, who do we think:
1) Regresses the most
2) Stays the same
2) Most improved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1) There is an argument to suggest Kane could regress..just putting it out there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps from being stuck at Spurs for another season.
I think Kulu could see a big improvement under Ange. I expect him to gradually get better anyway after he lost his way last season.
Porro is another I'd expect could work well under Ange.

We won't be getting Laporte. Not a chance. The fact that he has no resale value, will challenge our wage structure (if you assume we're not stupid enough to put him anywhere near Harry's wage), plus, and this is the most crucial, he'll have a queue of CL clubs lined up that he can choose from.
He's not the market we're in.
Whilst we're at it, the Sancho links are also laughable. The guy is on astronomical wages.
Maddison is probably the highest profile player we CAN get, although Newcastle must surely be the front runners. Everyone else will be a punt or data lead.
I'm intrigued by this Alex Scott kid although I think he has a long queue for his services. If he has any sense though, we're the club to join as we're more likely to play youngsters than we have been for the past 4 years. He's young, athletic and more easy to mould. He'd be right up Ange's street.

Alex Scott. Spurs fan and mates with Devie.
definitely strikes me as someone who will end up at Brentford, Villa or Palace and we end up regret missing out on

No from the system. Rico is more suited as an Ange no.9. Think Bobby Firmino with a prime Salah and Mane. He needs to be a work horse. Constantly running and then getting into the box. Lets see..
the grealish stuff is cringe now
nice guy, great player and character but gets far too much coverage these days

I think Kane will be alright. He's not the quickest but we know he works hard and will drop back and get forward into the box. It could be that he gets less goals and more assists with the goals being more spread about. I don't think he'll regress though, unless like I say he allows himself to, by being disappointed over a failed move away.
I'm interested to see how we do with him in an Ange team so hopefully he'll stay.
If Ange can't get a team to work with Kane in it he's the problem
