I actually think we're in a strong position on this occasion with our pursuit of Raya

We still have Lloris for 1 more year if needs be, at which point if Brentford refuse to sell for what we want, then Raya is a free agent at the end of Hugo's time with us

Having said that, we run the risk of Raya becoming a free agent and then having his pick of other clubs

Or United coming in and just offering Brentford what they want and taking him then

Bah... our position is shiiit, what do I know

Not really a horrible footballer would be OK as a squad player but not good enough to start every game for a club with CL and trophy aspirations

I remember a dubious link for PEH to Real at one point. Wolf mentioned other clubs were interested in him last summer. Maybe it is true?

Not a great player but very reliable and I don't remember him being injured too much apart from the last couple of games this season.

Weird how him and Dier picked up injuries towards the end of last season...

Yeah, Maybe I'm being harsh but to me he's symbolic of the negative, defensive & pragmatic football played by the likes of Nuno, Jose & Conte. I always felt he was limited as a footballer but could defo operate if surrounded by positive/ forward thinking players. Sadly it felt as though he was almost the first name on the team sheet for the past couple of years. Given our decline in results and quality of football.... That speaks volumes. At the top end of the PL, DM's are miles better than PEH.... See the likes of Rodri, Cassimero, Rice, Caicedo, Bruno G etc

To me he's as outdated as a footballer as the types of managers who love him so much... Jose, Conte
