great post on the Dele thread mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
These situations are so difficult to construct a well rounded opinion. Anything can happen that can dilute the truth:
- press lying / exagerrating
- the person not accepting he/she needs help
- the person simply not telling the truth in their version of events
I'm not saying that last point relates to Dele in this situation, it's just that my personal, blinkered and linear way of judging players purely on their actions on the pitch is perhaps very outdated, and something I need to take into account when former a judgement of someone I obviously don't know on a personal level
#maturityinnit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this is slightly knee jerk tbh. Players have everything they need to perform at a high level as well being well compensated to do so. So when someone has a bad game we are entitled to have a go at a distance. And in the same token, if someone has a worldie, we can praise them to high heaven.

yeah to be fair, I agree it's very reactionary.
Listening to Dele's interviews and knowing what kind of things go on in day to day life for everyone has just made me perhaps consider that it's not always as black and white as I'd like to think
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree totally. But as fans we the right to an opinion. Right or wrong we only judge what we can see.

Because I wouldn't trade a bunch of my money to convert it to Euros, to then bet on something I don't have a clue about the outcome of.
I similarly wouldn't bet a thousand pesos on the outcome of the next big UFC fight whoever its between.

Its the same as everything really, dont know what anyone is going through personally in a large portion of your interactions so you have to judge the person on face value, but have empathy as to any potential around their situation.

...Having said all that, I want a new centre back who isn't schitt like Eric Dier
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You get me! Yeah Dele, good for you mate. Hope you have turned the corner. Onwards and upwards but ENIC, give Ange some new CB's before they fly out. Which is not going to happen now.
Final year of Dele's contract coming up at Everton. Massive for him and his own career. If he plays seven more times, Spurs will recieve £10m.
£40m max for 80 games, which is not going to happen.
Its kind of ridiculous the situation, definitely incentives Everton not to play him

All depends how he is after his recovery. Even sub appearence count. I think Everton's best outcome is to play him 6 more times and hope a Saudi club comes in for him in January.

Does this interview put a little pressure on Everton to show support for Dele by playing him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, Dyche ain't going to risk his job for him. No one would unless Dele shows he warrants a team appearance.

Andrea Cambiaso’s agents have been probed by Tottenham Hotspur.
Milan have also started first contacts with his agents, Juventus want €25M.
