I read Vickery wasn’t highly positive about Veliz. But I reckon he could be a good addition. We always do well with them unknown type signings in the main.

However we need CBs. There is just no getting away from it. Sell on Sanchez and Rodon. Get VDV completed and things look a lot better. I think him and Romero’s skill sets will compliment each other well. Dier and Davies are fine as understudies. Tanganga can be a good 3rd option right across the back line at a push.

I can't say I share your optimism about Dier and Tanganga but I agree with the sentiment. One new CB in and the mood will be very different.
