there's some people still talking about selling gio in the summer. i think that's just plain wrong. why look to replace someone who's proven to be performing in the team for someone who might or might not succeed? where's the motivation for players to perform when they play really well and still the club's looking to offload them?

Yeah fair enough. Though Skipp should be benched. Kulusevski should be an attacker. Lo Celso is made of papier mache. And we should always be trying to improve the squad if we can.. right now there's an clear and significant drop from

Sarr Bissouma/Maddison Bentancur to
Skipp Hojbjerg Lo Celso

Like Phenom said, a proper good LB backup might make more sense but finding another like Udogie is going to be tough. Upgrading below par midfielders is pretty easy really, and not too expensive

Yeah I’d agree, at present Emerson is our back up LB and RB! The conversation probably depends on what the club know about Sessegnons fitness situation and how Ange thinks he’ll work in the squad. On paper he’s be a great back up to Udogie, but if he cannot stay fit then that position is a priority. It’s been 4.5 years since Sess signed and I can only recall him having one reasonably sustained run in the team without injury, would love him to put all that past him and reach his potential but just don’t see it happening.

21. Sounds like the sort of option we need as Ben starts to get a bit older (although he's still only 31).

Maybe one we might be able to buy and loan back to them for next season. Then he could come and give Ben some competition for 25/26.
