I brought up sterling for a reason, there's a laundry list of examples of black footballers being put under the microscope and having their professionalism questioned based on how they spend their money and behave on social media, accused of acting like rappers etc. I've just looked at Bissouma's and Maddison's Instagrams and they're the same, a mix of spurs stuff and pictures of them wearing expensive clothes.

we've been going back and forth about your weird Bissouma angst for the past few weeks and I've never brought something like this up before so everyone moving the goalposts and bringing out their "oh so you're not allowed to criticise black people anymore" strawman arguments can do one.

I would just simply advice you to check yourself next time you decide to start questioning a black footballer's professionalism based on his social media because like I said it sounds like something out of a tabloid even if you meant no harm by it.

He is 27. Not a kid. If he can't turn up on time it's not good for a pro footballer. Then you have him getting more cards than any other player. Letting his team mates down three times. I've never seen it for Spurs. Have you?

It was, it was hardly like watching Blind or Martinez or Busquets on the ball.

It was a heavily caveated comment based on one small clip (was Twitter anyway) - not sure why it’s getting brought up now mind
