Swap Sess for Skipp

Gil too probably

Btw Sarr counts as HG for the Prem and not for Europe I think. Happy to be corrected.

Feel like Gil and Sess have more or less been for sale since they joined lol

I think Olise will be high on the list along with Neto come the summer. Olise is HG so would take priority plus has had less major injuries than Neto.

I can see defo pushing for Gallagher again. If Sess leaves he will need to be replaced HG wise. So Olise or CG. Also Lloyd Kelly or Tosin if we wanted to drop a GK.

But with us hopefully playing in Europe next season our HG options for 21 year olds is on a fine margin. Currently we have three GK's, Sess, BJ, Davies, Maddison and Skipp who are over 21. That's 8 which is the magic number.

Pretty sure Sarr doesn't count for Europe.

Or both, Olise and Gallagher

Troy Parrot would be eligable to fill a Hg spot as he is 21 now.

Skipp can stay. He hasn't done too badly last couple of games. Was arguably the best player on the pitch while he was on it the other night. I think he might have squeezed past PEH in the pecking order.

Sessegnon I'm hoping will be fit and available soon and then he can be given some game time. We haven't properly seen him under Ange. Last chance saloon though. 5 seasons and only a handful of games isn't good enough for someone that was bought on potential.

I think Sess is done. There were rumours of him being available last summer and even this window.

With the amount of work a FB has to do under Ange, I don't think he can handle it or be relied upon.

I don't expect him to challenge Udogie but he could still prove his worth and there'd be more games available next season with Europe. You never know what can happen. He needs to go to the Richarlison School of Proving the Doubters Wrong.

Then again if Ange doesn't fancy him and wants to sell then so be it.

Olise would be one of my favourite signings in a while, absolutely love watching him play

Ange Postecoglou on Richarlison’s recent form:

“The goals are obviously important because that's everyone's measure, but I think his general game is improving and that's the main thing for me. That's what I've seen. The way we play and the kind of player Richy is, I was always confident he would score goals but we need more than that. I think his work rate now defensively, which was really important when we had Sonny up there, hasn't dropped off with Richy there. He's working really hard for the team and the Ks (kilometres) he did the other night was right up there. Then his link up and hold up play is improving all the time. See I love that. I love when players still want to improve and do improve rather than say he's played for his national team and been here quite a while. I can see him developing further and that's what you want as a manager and coach. For us, he's becoming a really important player.”

You think that national team comment was a dig at anyone in our squad?

Why would he be a risk? Cos you think he is injury prone?

He's a 'grow your own'. So he stays if only to keep the HG numbers up.

No. I reckon more of a comparison with Rashford.

Could be a shot at Lo Celso but that doesn't seem like an Ange thing to do

He works hard and has improved under Ange (although not his niggling injury record)

posted on 2/2/24

Fair enough. Like I say, doesn't seem like an Ange thing to do. It's not like it'd be effective anyway - they're all internationals and probably all think they're doing great so won't apply to them
