Marca reporting eriksen isn’t good enough according to Zidane and won’t be making a move.
He’ll be staying then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't see anywhere else he would want to go? Juve maybe?
It's his own fault, if he pulled his finger out of his arris and had a great last few months including actually turning up in the CL final then Zidane maybe thinking differently.
Nor foyth and sissoko at RB. Need an athlete there with defence awareness. A combo of the 2 would be fine

Well Utd have signed AWB.
Surely we can't go into the season with Trippier, Aurier and KWP

Utd are in a downward spiral mate.
I'm down for sissoko at RB
I'm also down for signing an actual RB too but hey ho

Whats the progress on Ndombeles medical?
Asking for a friend.
Beeb saying Clarke deal is close to done and medical today, if anyone was still waiting for that

I don't think it's today. Fee and terms seem to be agreed but no word on medical date. By all accounts he's on holiday till July so it might not happen for another week or so. Then again other sources have said Lyon want it wrapped up before end of June so presumably he might have his medical done on holiday, I'm sure club doctors can be flown out.

Will ask about it again in an hour or so...
We should be all over Bissaka and flogging Trippier and Aurier to cover the costs.

I don't really get it either. He's young, English, promising, and we're in need of a new right back, and United were the only seriously interested party and we know we can offer CL over them and he wouldn't need to move anywhere.
I guess we've decided midfield is the main priority and we're not prepared to spend more than in excess of £100m at the moment, before sales are done.

He’s on holiday. We are supposedly finalising the finer details of the deal with Lyon. Once that’s done he’ll be flown in for his medical. Hopefully things don’t fall through!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, there is still the issue of personal terms to be agreed
And terms with Levy are notoriously unpleasant to whoever to the negotiator but generally satisfactory to Levy

50 million for awb is crazy money. We only got that for a player who at the time was the best right back in the league.
I’d rather we looked elsewhere to be honest.

i would have happily paid it. Guy could be their RB for the next 10 years, and if we did sell trippier for anything north of 30 then it would nicely offset it

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s £50m plus £90k a week for an England U21; I’d think that’s too much of a risk for us to take. Utd have the resources to blow that money. Also, it seems we’re spending a huge chunk of our CL profits on Ndombele. Other transfers will be made on player sales and is it feasible we could raise enough to buy him at £50m? Yes if we sell Eriksen, but then we need to replace Eriksen. £20m for Trippier won’t cover it. I think it’s a risky buy and out of our comfort zone and budget price wise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know how much money we've got lying about but it's obviously a lot. Perhaps then that it isn't enough that we could have spent on Ndombele and matched United for AWB. Or maybe Levy is being cautious with the money.
Like I said on another thread, Levy might see midfield as the bigger priority over right back because of what business there is there to be done, including the possible departure of Eriksen.
AWB is a very good FB although I’m sold on him going forward yet
I’d definitely would’ve paid the £50m but glad we prioritised Ndombele though.
