Levy will get close to what he wants for him.

Linked with a late move for Ollie Watkins, I dunno how I’d feel about that.

Scored 25 goals this season, and 10 in each of the previous 2 seasons but don’t know what position he was playing then.

Yeah annoyingly the sale of Aurier seems to be holding everything up. A back up striker before the season starts, knowing that Kane looked a bit tired yesterday, is worth far more than whatever petty saving Levy wants to get from an Aurier sale.

Wolves would suit him better tbh, playing as an outright wing back with a solid midfield and back 3, and a winger ahead of him meaning he can underlap and need to rely on his awful crossing less

I'm saying that's what Doherty has always done at Wolves. Aurier would do better in an underlap system at Wolves since he won't need to cross so much

Jamal Lewis too, would have been a good signing for us

We should be aiming for better than wilson. But seeing as we obviously are not, then we have probably missed out on our best option. Could be worth the extra money just having a man in before the season starts.

I’m with Phenom, I don’t actually think Wilson is that special so I don’t think we’ve missed out that badly here.

However I’m only saying that on the assumption that if we weren’t in for him, that surely has to indicate that we have other more suitable targets identified and on the go.

Just really hope they come in sooner rather than later (they’ll come later, obvs)

What striker who’s better than Wilson would want to come and play back up to Kane ?

Should be looking at Watkins then I guess. And I hope we try with him first over the French guy we've been linked to who is proven in the French second league. Better to go for someone proven in the English Championship than the French one.
