Paris Saint-Germain are confident of completing a deal to sign #thfc midfielder Dele Alli on loan. Dele is open to the move to reinvigorate his career and Spurs are starting to believe a loan could also benefit all parties. |

Was hoping that would be a nice segue way from this unholiness

E, overall thoughts on our transfer business and our rivals
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs - decent addressed everything we needed to (Bale can easily count as new striker). Personally I think we are a Ndidi/Neves/Bissouma/D.Luiz away from a top transfer window. A-
Arsenal - got some good young defenders and Willian/Ceballos make good short term sense - however a lot of holes in the squad that still need filled. B -
Chelsea - tough to evaluate because their squad seems to have a bunch of different players who fit different styles. However they’ve basically gone out and bought the best available players in a bunch of positions so probably. A+ albeit I don’t think they will do well this year
Everton. Just awesome business and are a CB away from winning the window. A
Leicester. Not done enough to address the gaps and lost their main LB. C+
Liverpool. Basically nailed it. A+
Man City. Ok signings nobody that really improves the XI. B
Man Utd. Had a shocker, DVDB is very good though. C
Wolves. Seem a lot worse off than last year, probably the worst of the lot thinking about it. C-
The fact that there are 9 teams within the 'rivals' analysis says alot about the PL.
Tbf I don’t think I should have counted Pool or City in the list
I would give Spurs an A. I know we have not as yet got another striker in but the signings of Bale and Reguilion are ones most fans didn't even think were imaginable. Bale especially is a marquee signing, that you never associate with Spurs.
It's got to be one of our best windows ever has it not?
The one with Dembele, Verts and Lloris is probably our best window ever I reckon.

Obviously we have hindsight with that window, as those 3 went on to be excellent players at the club.
Even without hindsight though - lloris was one of the best keepers in the world then. Vertonghen was really highly rated and Dembele was decent for Fulham.
Add to that Siggs, Dempsey and Adebayor (who was good at that point) and that is 6 decent signings + Fryers and Holtby
I was more excited about Holtby out of all of those

Going through the list on transfermarkt - this is deffo one of the better ones, I think that one was the best.
15/16 had Toby/Son and Trippier in the same window.
No other ones jump out really, although I still think 19/20 was really successful.
