i think the main gripe is us all knowing Eriksen will probably go and Ndombele, as good a signing as it is, will be our only big one and it isnt enough.

Yeah..... you do get the feeling that Spurs will always do the bare minimum just to get the fans of their back We all know that our squad strength at the end of the window will be pretty much flat... Eriksen out, N'Dombele in & Jack Clarke back to school in Leeds to finish his GCSEs never to be seen again.

For the rest of the window, when we are b1tching about other signings they will point to smashing the transfer record when the reality will be that it will effectively be a zero ish net spend again

I know it's ridiculous mate. Pretty certain they have waited for today to announce both. The media team are savvy and know Spurs fans won't be happy with a singing of a loan back after 516 days of nobody, hence why I think NDombele will be the big announcement later. Far to many reputable sources saying it will be announced today, so I would bet it probably will later

Hopefully Eriksen being 2nd or 3rd option for Real Madrid and United wanting to pay £75m for Maguire instead of triggering Toby's release clause shows the pair of them that they need to ffaaaaacking sign the extended contract and get their acts together for a trophy.

Imagine if Clarke helps get Leeds promoted... will he then come back to play for Spurs in 2020/21 or will he want another season in the Premiership with his boyhood club?

I think Clarke might even get a call in Jan to come and bolster our options for the business end of the season.

I have seen him play - and he has that drive to take on defenders and cause mayhem. Like Brooks of Bournemouth fame
