I really don’t get this view. Both look decent players and better than we have.
It’s only about if they adapt well imo.

This view is formed on being let down on previous signings such as Lo Celso, Ndombele etc
As I say, hope I’m wrong.
I know Bentancur was very hyped as a youngster, and he's had several years in Juve's first team. He's the right profile of player that Spurs need too, a natural central midfielder (not a purely defensive or attacking one but one who can theoretically do a bit of everything) with a good eye for a pass and decent physicality. I've seen lots of comments saying he's been gash recently though, so I'm not sure what to make of it.
Kulusevski is a left footed forward who naturally plays off the right hand side behind a striker - far as I know he's more of a playmaker than an out and out winger. I don't think he's especially quick but he's got good technique and he's also over 6' and relatively strong. In theory he adds something to Spurs' front line that neither Lucas or Son offers - not as quick but a bit more creative.
You'd hope Hojbjerg would make way for Bentancur but it'll probably be Skipp

Its mainly to do with Juve fans happy to see them go
Recurring comments I've been reading are:
Kulusevski - very slow and hasn't performed as well as he was expected to off the back of a good spell at parma
Bentancur - very onconsistent, has 1 good game and then followed by many poor ones. Gives the ball away a lot and responsible for conceding goals
Just doesn't fill me with confidence, and I don't get the feeling the comments are sour grapes either tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yea never listen to other club fans on players they are selling.

As I say though, I'll be giving them all a chance as if you're comparing them to what we have already, the bar to surpass them is already pretty low
But I'm just trying to get an idea on what to expect before they get here, having not seen them in action before
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, what I CAN say is what role they fill on the pitch. Bentancur is an 8 with a slight leaning towards the technical/passing side, albeit he's 6'2" and so you'd hope he'd have a decent physical presence. Kulusevski is a left-footed playmaker forward who can play 10 or 9 but is probably most natural at right ring albeit he's not a whippet. He's also quite tall.
What I can't say is whether they've played well in recent seasons, because I won't pretend I watch Juventus

I watched a fair bit of juve as they are my Italian team ( del Piero was my favourite player growing up ) and a bit of a Ronaldo fan boy too so really took notice the last few seasons.
Bentancur was fantastic under Sarri in the 19/20. He was a key player and continued to a fair few assists too.
His break up play was incredible, got quite quick feet for a big guy. Positioning is very good too.
Haven’t watched much this season as pirlo got them playing rubbish so not sure if he’s had a poor one or not.
£20m is fairly low risk and sure conte can get him playing excellent IF he can adapt which is my worry after seeing Gio & Ndombele recently.
At least we'll be increasing the average height and age of the team with these 2, if nothing else.
James Horncastle serie A journalist
Bentancur has gone from Boca to Juve. He has established himself in a winning team, played 3 years of CL football + has ~50 caps. Idea he isn’t an upgrade is rubbish. He’s Juventus’ busiest midfielder, best ball-winner. He’s criticised b/c he’s been asked to be something he isn't

Uses the ball better hopefully. Not a guaranteed starter but good to have different options just to pacey players, he can also play in the middle and is a unit
