Imagine going from sarri to Lampard
Risky. Could go either way, Lampard has done Fack all in a very young managerial career, but is by all accounts an intelligent guy. Who knows?

Again risky. But atleast ole had managed elsewhere. Lampard has just had a couple of years with derby, not successful years by any means.
There's nothing to suggest that Lampard has been earmarked to replace Sarri yet - apart from bookies odds!
you dont think getting to the playoff final in your first year as manager bringing in loan players was not successful? Im not for the lampard signing but thats crazy talk.
better than getting relegated with a team and then getting sacked...
And he's only had one year - not a couple!
All this Lampard talk is just a deflection from the news that Sarri has gone
If it is to be Lampard, the stroke of genius in that move could be that Morris will almost certainly come with him and no one knows the youth lads better than him!

Lampard can win the league with Ole's team in Norway. He was a disaster at Cardiff. I dont see how a United fan thinks an Ole appointment is a better appointment to Lampard's Chelsea choice.

Forget ole at Cardiff, look at what he achieved at molde on nothing. Derby were pretty much expected to finish around playoffs it wasn’t that impressive a feat.
It's irrelevant assuming that Frank will be our next manager. With our boards record, it could be the Cowley brothers for all we know.
The big news here is we've lost an honourable man and decent manager. I can't say I blame him for wanting to go.
At a guess I'd say this wanting to be closer to his elderly parents is a bit of a smokescreen. I'd say losing his best player and not being able to bring in fresh faces would have had a big bearing on his leaving for a club that have all the pieces already in place, notwithstanding working for a board that will be expecting the impossible from him next season!
Starting from scratch depends.
If we carry on building on the foundations he's layed it's been anything but a wasted year, if we go back to low block again....

Were they expected to finish around the playoffs? If so he achieved his objective then - you're shooting yourself in the foot with your own argument!
He had no cards to play except a load of untried loan players - I'd say he did rather well with the hand he was dealt!

He did not a bad job. But nothing that would say he’s good enough to be a Chelsea boss. Far too raw. Ole is similar but has done more.

Brummie.

Quite happy for Sarri to leave. I think how good a job he did has been exaggerated. He got 3rd place after the teams above us collapsed and that's the reality. Don't forget as well if it wasn't the farce in Cardiff that we wouldn't have gotten top 4. Don't misunderstand me, he achieved what he achieved, but those achievements need to be put into context. The Europa League victory was impressive though but we didn't have to face anyone too tough to win it. Still, he won it and that's the most important thing.
I don't really think Lampard is the best choice considering this is an important time for Chelsea as we need to re-establish ourselves as one of the elite teams in the league, but he seems to be the choice and I hope he surprises everyone.
