Though the problem could be getting clubs willing to pay decent money and take his wages on. He’s on really big wages isn’t he? Certainly for a player of his limited ability and standing in the game.

Getting rid of Kolasinic would bring in funds and free up big wages, so in Arsenal’s current position it would make sense to get rid and rely on Monreal as back up for a season. Have Arsenal got any promising left backs in the academy?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't really say we have a ton of U23 options coming through at left back. Only one I can think of is Bola, and I can't really remember him making any of our Europa League squads.
I'm much more hopeful in the attacking roles.
As for Kolasinac, it would be a massive loss if he left. Pacy, strong, and the only senior player we have who can actually play out wide.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kolasinac at full speed has decent pace, but his turn of pace is actually really slow. Looks flat-footed when anyone runs at him. He's our easiest defender to dribble by far.

People moan about the wages we’re paying Jenkinson, yet we’re rumoured to be paying Kolasinac more than that, and yet there’s not a huge difference in their level of skill.
Kola has barely had half a dozen good games for Arsenal in two seasons.

I don't count him as a defensive player tbh. I've always preferred having him bomb forward and stretch the opposition back line.
Our side is full of technical one-footed players who will always prefer to cut inside. Kolasinac is probably the closest thing we have to a winger, despite his shortcomings.

Even as a LWB his most important ability should be to defend - which he’s shown he can’t do - whilst going forward he has zero variety to his game.
For the money we’re paying him, we should expect much more than he offers. Unfortunately for us, same will be said by any other club.

===
No, the issue with Kolasinac is he's fking chit. The one thing he had going for him was delivery into the box and even that evaporated in the last third of the season.
Another issue is he cannot play LB, so it forces Emery to use a back 3, even against mid/lower teams at home.
The fact he's on massive wages just compounds the fecking misery. Get as much as you can for this guy and get rid ASAP.
If Tierney is who we want, then get him in and either promote a LB from the academy, rely on the aging Monreal for another season, or look at bringing in someone cheap as back up.
