West Brom paid big bucks for Burke. Probably just realisation that they have been had, and watching the value of Burke plummeting after his performances up here.

Not good enough to get a team. End of story.

I agree with the above, but one thing does bother me, that also happened the last time Lennon was there.

He does seem to take the huff on players and they never get seen again. Rasmussen was one for sure. Also the situation with Weah.

Obviously I don`t know anything about what went on behind the scenes, but there`s maybe more to it than just not rated by Lennon.

How teams have paid big bucks for him is beyond me.

Btw.... Turnbull..... should we be worried he's going to fail the stringent medical

Will tell you next Tuesday, if he`s not playing in St Gallen Until then, I will think that it`s just Celtic doing what they do, procrastinate

Procrastinate.......nice word for a Tuesday morning.....

I prefer to say phanny about

So Arsenal have 'only' a £40m transfer budget and would have to spend £25m at least to secure KT's signature. No wonder they win fvck all

‘He does seem to take the huff on players and they never get seen again.’

A situation unique to Lennon. One which you don’t see happen with any other manager. Ever.

Sounds a bit to me like he’s gone running down the road with “it’s no fair”.

It’s all directed at Lennon which in normal circumstances I’d be worried about but in this case I believe Lennon just felt he was just a not very good player and dropped him for the run in and final.

One of the few things Lennon got spot on by leaving that donkey out the team.

The first bit?! You said it earlier in the thread.

The second bit is mine. It’s where I was being a bit facetious to try and highlight that it’s hardly unique.

Rodgers brought in Gamboa, Musonda and Commper. They all hardly kicked a ball-and the situation with Musonda in particular caused some headlines.

These things happen and the world keeps turning. Folk want to make a mountain out of a molehill and don’t see it’s the same as virtually every other manager.

Bit of a pity, if he had a better (any?) touch and control Burke could have been a monster, he didn't however and often ended up like a big lad who plays rugby having a game of fitba with his mates?

POV, no problem. I know it`s not unique, but I think it seems to follow Lennon around. I think it`s his approach, which these days doesn`t work in the world of the spoiled footballer. For some it`ll work, mostly not. I guess time will tell.

Just a small point, I had nothing against Burke being left out. He`s not very good and as someone above pointed out, maybe West Brom are just mouthing off, because they don`t want to be seen as having bought a pig in a poke for £15 M. It`s actually pretty arrogant, if that`s the case, thinking that their players must be good enough to play for Celtic.

I think it’s highlighted more with Lennon, but it happens with every club and every manager.

As for West Brom, think you’re right in what you’re saying. They’ve shelled out a fair whack on a guy they don’t know how to use effectively. Fortunately, the guy that oversaw that is now with us, so they’ve got the last laugh there.

Burke makes Raphael Sheite look like a bargain.
He's a guy that can run fast - that's it.

Turnbull away for a second scan, Celtic doing their due diligence.

Clubs other than Arsenal likely to meet Celtic's valuation of KT, otherwise he's staying.

Who all went out the door btw?

this turnbull deal btw, this pace is typical of us.

how can we have him in a celtic strip on friday, and get to tuesday and still not have him officially signed.

wtf takes them so long?

people say all teams take time to conclude transfers, but we are something else.

does it matter if it happens to other managers? they aren't in charge of celtic.

some do this, some don't, but we now have someone that does and i don't think there is anything wrong withi pointing that out.
